The strange thing is I could teach somebody to paint. But somebody could teach me something new and how to paint better. Every painter should listen to every painter. Every day is a school day. Doesn’t matter how much you think you know or how good you are. Somebody can always give you a little more when it comes to skills and knowledge

Yes indeed you have to stay a student of the trade, ive been in the industry 12 years now and im constantly learning from different people it makes u stronger, listen to your paint reps as well they give the game too.
You're actually an excellent instructor. The guy I trained under yelled at me more than he explained to me about how to do it.😂 I still go through the trial and error learning experience everytime. Great video 👍
Hey gunny must say it's good to see you passing the skills and knowledge along your the best man
really enjoy watching people who need some more experience, it shows the kinds of mistakes we make starting out and how to fix them. He'll end up being a great painter with The Gunman helping him out.
Man, my brother and I have been watching your videos for years now and we learned to spray paint thanks to you. We mainly spray paint guitars but have done our cars too if needed, we recently sprayed the roof of my car. The clearcoat was completely peeled off when I bought it; whoever sprayed it before did a really terrible job on it. If we're ever unsure about anything we always go back to your videos. Thanks for the videos throughout all these years and the invaluable skills you've taught us!
Amazing work and amazing student. Thumbs up to the teacher.
An experience day with gunny is easily on my bucket list. What a privilege it would be.
you are very good teacher👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Hell yea was good times learning off gunny. 🤘

You didn't need much training mate. Like a fish to water.
I always enjoy your videos ! Always informative and honest. Thanks for taking the time to do all these videos !
That clear looks absolutely amazing! It's so satisfying when you go from matte base to shiny clear, i love it! Seems like your apprentice got a good teacher as well :)
Hey man, this was super interesting to watch as a DIYer, picking up what errors to look out for and what to do when they occur. cheers
Hi Gunny awesome to be watching again, missed it for quite a while but loving the info and tips on prep n paint, and showing us all as your working too is a bonus. Cheers dude 👍
Great job.... sharing your talent.
Let’s go! Currently training at my work as well, happy to learn

A true credit to you for passing your knowledge on to your guy, and to us all. Experience is invaluable ❤ much appreciated 😊
That boy likes to get on the trigger and never let off 😂 .
Good job my man, this new year I’m gonna start learning wish me a good luck 🍀
This is nice to watch a new guy do this, because it brings new issues that you can teach us to correct.
Hey brother I been watching your videos since I started off in the trade I am now a 4th year, I just want to say thank you brother honestly what I learned in this trade was all from your videos, the past 4 years I have worked in a shop that isn’t good and only recently I have built up the guts to leave my comfortability and find a new shop, brother if I was to ever see you in real life I would love to shake your hand. You changed my life, at times where I thought of leaving the trade due to me not improving I would always come back to your videos Especially your 2 videos talking about apprenticeship in the trade and when you said 4 years in and you could not stop getting runs yet you stayed in the trade and prevailed and now your the best painter I’ve ever seen, that gave me so much hope and strength to no that if I stick it out and strive to be better I can be just like you brother, I don’t mean to sound like a cringe cunt or a pussy but I’m just speaking from the heart brother, thank you for everything bro, I have finally built up the guts to leave my comfort zone and go to a bigger and better shop I start there after the new year January 15 but honestly I’m so nervous, can you please do more videos of what your apprenticeship was like and tips aswell, I’m just trying to better myself the way you tape the car and paint and your prep is amazing I try to do it but I just can’t seem to put it all together, please if it’s not to much to ask for please can you do more videos on apprenticeship, thank you brother and you are appreciated bro
Great teacher as well👍👍
Respect ❤❤❤

Mate i need you to teach me . Youre a great teacher. But ALWAYS ROOM FOR THE GUN MAN
Hello Gunman your guy is very promising, he has a nice spraying movement, just the speed to work is nothing, you go create a champion, greeting from Marseille
He's lucky to have you for a teacher.
The teacher is the best… Told ya you should be a trainer 🤩
How i wish i could work with you mate. I've been watching your videos since i started painting 5 to 6 years ago, ever since I'm a fan.. technically, i copied all your techniques, your such a good teacher mate👌👍
I am looking at your vid on 3 stage pearl because I will be attempting a small dent repair by rattle can😵💫and I was wondering if you had a spray out for Kia 2015 HW2 Deluxe White Pearl?
whats foam tape ? never heard of that there before...i took autobody as high school vocational elective. havent been too involved with body work since then. i can paint though have 3 guns 2 compressors plus a pancake type for smaller things. i use it for my motorcycle stuff to spray parts or if i am lazy just use aresol spray can to primer to wet sand then clean and paint with spray can... i am in cold climate city and state....
Do you ever use blending additive before your paint
Please talk how to colour neutrilize or cutting
Noob question: what is that solution you spray to clean/prep before paint?
Hey Gunman I love your stuff! Just wondering if you have ever used a GTI Pro lite with water based? If so what did you think?

Hi Gunny, your workmate is doing a superb job laying the clear down it's very flat glossy and clean it's a shame there is the language barrier there but you both seem to cope with it well👌 I have the same problem with the 1.3CC and your mate does, if I spray the 1.3CC the same as I would with my 1.2i in my X5500 the clear ends up looking the same as his first coat quite dry and patchy so I have to slow down quite a lot which is very un Sata like🤔🤷♂ Maybe a tutorial on laying the clear with this setup would be popular mate as I've heard a few people say it's a slow gun🙏👍John UK
@miauzkater6745

No one needs 1.3cc unless you come from Iwata or Meiji. Take your 1.2 i if the 1.3cc is too slow for you. Your result will be the same either way
😅 he does not look happy gunny but your the man 🎉 to keep him right everybody has to learn it's a learning curve well done 😊
What camera do you use to record?
Plz explain what is under the car
What gun did you use on the base coat
Is this a grill .how can it help the painting
Your Dane as me with apprentices, be right there with them to help, but stay out of the way and let them learn. I find it's better than the way other guys train by grabbing the gun away from the apprentice all the time, or grabbing there arm and telling them do exactly like me. Doesn't work that easy, everyone's different. The way your going and just sayen, get get that part wetter, close the film more, and let him go. I feel like least in my experience I at my apprentices learn faster that way. 👍👍
The best
The paint these days makes it so much easier, also the gun...
Man how can I get in touch with you please how much do you charge for this training Please let me know
👌👌👌
👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Apprentice needs to focus just a bit more on the clear when it hits the panel. That tells you to speed up, slow down, increase or decrease distance. He's a little too focused on applying the clear. Not a knock on him or anything, just a tip. Fan looks like it could be choked in a bit too.
"Give us the thumbs up"... haha
Boy, that spray gun really throws out the paint.
I watch this video and I’m thinking shit that looks good, but it doesn’t matter how many times I apply clearcoat I either get orange peel or drips or both, don’t get me wrong the end result is always good once I’ve sanded the panel back down with 1500 then 2000 then 2500 grit, and buffed it up, I just can’t get the perfect gun finish, I wonder if it is down to the cheap gun I’m using.

Potentially, also warm up the clear if it's a cold day and make sure to use enough thinner
moi aussi je veut faire un stage !!...on s inscrit ou Gunman?
You teach really well, even when you tell him about something, you also explain why it's not perfect It seems that he is moving too fast for fear of leaks I am colored from Israel 👋
You wash your microfibers after use or throw them out?
@TheGunmanChannel

We rotate them, from prepsol rag, to stick and bench wiping rag, to bin. It works well, and we don't use any cotton rags in the mixing room to stop lint
Iam experienced in auto paint sprayer ..Searching for full time job ..

Hey My Master. You have been my inspiration to do better. It's a dream to work at your Shop or attend a training as well. Can I send me CV??? :)
Problem is he if looks at you spraying, he goes too fast, just like I have seen you in the past, however I am sure you would probably have more product out at the fast speed. End product looks pretty clean though.

Have you ever tested to see how much mill build your clear is that you've sprayed on?
You should start doing paint classes. You have a big platform on here. It would be a real good side hustle! I do quite a bit of little jobs and I do Tumbler cups.. and I had a clear that my local jobber recommended. It’s water white, but the shit never seemed to ever dry the stuff was baked…. Then sat in 30’c temp for a week and it was still soft. I just started using Matrix instead. Far superior…. I mostly do stuff for friends and family for basically nothing but product and I felt bad even using that clean on someone’s panel.
Gunny you should do weekend classes ,people will pay good money for your knowledge. But once again if you work fulltime you dont want to work on weekends.
