Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you my favorite decompression tactics. These methods took a long while to figure out for myself, and there are so many ways to find what works for you! Please let me know what you do on those heavy days, too :)

Depending on the level of overwhelm: 1. repeating the same song, dimming the lights 2. changing into comfy clothes, re-watching my "safe shows" + fidgeting with toys 3. covering myself in cushions, so only my nose and mouth look out of the pile (blocking light & sound & adding weight), sometimes crying, shutting out human contact (not communicating for 30+ minutes in any way, not looking at ppl/avoid being looked at ). :D

I love the cushions idea!! And that’s spot-on with me, all of it!

I like the all Black makeup. It’s giving Nightmare before Christmas. (Which is good) Glad you’re making videos again 😊

So freakinggg cool, your projector. A reallyyyy reallyyy good strat of mine is eating ice. It’s in the top five ways for me to decompress. Eating ice is a sure fire way to soothe me. The chewing, the sound, the texture, the ice chunks and coldness down my throat etc. Especially while sitting in front of the oven (the warmth) or the space heater, it’s so pleasant. What you’re saying about the fidget, it really does help with thinking!! I had a spiky ball behind my back during an interview (it was a WFH video interview) and dude, it really freakin helped me. They should be seriously branded as fidget TOOLS lol. I want a decompression room!! I have make one when I move, so cool. Have you ever listen to orange noise and the like? Dulled Orange noise is my favorite, surprisingly. I thought the “noises” (white noise, black noise etc) was a bunch of hoopla until I found orange noise. Helps me sleep and stay asleep.

YES I LOVE MY PROJECTOR SO MUCH. And I never considered eating ice. I love the texture of my favorite chips, but they are expensive to crunch on. I might try it, but growing up we always had those “dome” shaped ice cubes that I accidentally would swallow while if I wasn’t careful 😅 and wow a spiked ball.. I don’t own one. Maybe it’s time to take a trip to the store ❤️ and I just found out yesterday that there’s “pink noise”?? Like I thought there was only black, white and brown. So I guess I’ll start looking into all the colors! Had no idea there was orange noise. So thank you! And YES I listen to white noise when I get overstimulated in my headphones 🎧!

Very picky with toys. Among a lot of things such as food. Safe foods for me are Chinese Food and Hot fries. Dr. Pepper for a safe drink. Not as picky as I used to be with food, but still picky. I mostly write, listen to music, and dance to decompress. Sometimes shower. I find them to be mentally relaxing. I often have to catch myself when I use the word "Stupid" or "Dumb".

I’m super picky with fidget toys bc they have to be mindless enough. And it’s not stupid to be upset if you don’t have your safe food. Lol everything tastes subpar to be me if it isn’t nuggies & fries, anything potato

YES, they have to be a certain way for me to buy them! And aww, thank you. I use the word “stupid” to describe so many things that I have to catch myself lol. And that’s so awesome!!! I ate nuggies every day for a week, but I knew it wasn’t the food for me bc I never ever get tired of the chips I like! So happy you know what your favorite foods are :)!
