Autel Maxi AP200 BMS Reset on Freelander 2 MY2014

In this video I perform the Battery Monitor System (BMS) on a late model Freelander 2 (MY2014) facelift model using an Autel Maxi AP200 OBD2 device.
If you are considering changing your own battery and considering using this hot function then this will give you and idea of how long it takes and what to expect.
NOTE1: I was surprised that it did not reset the battery age as indicated by the live data from the Body Control Module (BCM) or number of recordings at different voltages. It did however record the battery had been changed and the temperature conditions that the old battery had been working in. See more in the video.
NOTE2: According to the manual, even if this procedure is not completed the system will reprogram itself within 48 hours of driving and then maintain the new battery accordingly.

I am sure that will need the LR specific equipment to reset the CCF, probably better having the experts take a look at that one. Sorry

Hi mate I put a new battery on my freelander 2 and it won't start. Throws up steering colum locked, temperature gauge has went silly and abs etc . Any ideas if this is what is required. Thanks In Advance

When I click battery replacement it doesn't open

I know my android works much better than my iPhone, the iPhone has similar issues where tapping the screen to select options and it doesn’t do anything, I have to tap many many times really fast. Maybe it’s a software fault, I thought it was just me or my old iPhone.

@@TheBionicbone I'm using samsung s22 ultra, I've tried a few times now and the battery information tab above opens but it just doesn't do anything when I click battery replacement and I've read conflicting arguments that it doesn't actually reset on its own after a few days

@@jdgraffixx I won't reset as such and the battery count will not update on it's own. However I am reasonably sure that what it does do over time is relearn the new batteries increased capacity. It's never been proven though, and I'm not aware that came from any official source, it just kind of makes sense.
