Respect. It takes a lot to be willing to recognize and honor the passing of somebody you didn't get along with. To recognize that while the two of you didn't see eye to eye, JDF meant a lot to the fans and to the Power Ranger franchise. I wish JDF didn't end his life.

That's because Austin is a humble man, I have nothing against JDF (I was also hurt by his passing because, like Austin, I appreciated it) but unfortunately when he had the opportunity to speak badly of Austin he did it and worse, he did it seriously. But Austin never said anything against him and showed maturity like in the 2017 premiere and now with this video.

@@YTWarrior100 Austin did actually criticise JDF if you watch his interview on power rangers playback. And JDF tried to shut down rumours once that there was something bad between them in another interview I saw. So they weren't always consistent with how they approached that.

I’m more disappointed that they couldn’t put it aside enough for just one reunion before someone dies. I think that’s part of Austin’s regret here too. PR kept awkwardly coming back without their two main leads, one was always missing. Imagine if every SF game since SF2 had either Ken or Ryu missing for some bizarre reason.

This was a good message from Austin St. John. It shows that even though him and JDF never got along in real life, he’s always respected him. Once arranger always arranger such powerful words. Jason, David Frank is still missed to this day. Godspeed green ranger.

Sadly no, JDF literally was vocal of his dislike of ASJ. It was childish and even one time they appeared together with the actor that played Zack. JDF had even on camera confessed right there of himself being dumb and childish about the grudge and publicly "apologized" to ASJ. I was finally happy to see this, we would finally see them be what we wanted to see in real life as in the show. To see them really act as brothers, but it was all a front, JDF kept on bad mouthing ASJ online, really badly, with the latter staying quiet, but eventually ASJ started to respond back when ASJ started to have legal issues that are still to be resolved in court. JDF had increased his smearing of ASJ even harder and drawing more people in, like Steve Cardenas (the second Red Ranger, after Jason) I know that many people loved JDF, but the dude was a trouble maker even in the show, but also outside. He'd start beef with people for no reason, he even threatened Jean Claude Vandamme and it was caught in video as his wife was trying to defuse the issue. He always was acting like he had something to prove and though he'd try and send positive messages, most sounded narcissistic in nature. It's sad, because in his last videos, when he announced he was retiring and distancing himself from all things Power Rangers, he looked really beaten and destroyed. He was charismatic, but people gave him a full on pass to his negativity because he was their childhood hero. Like I said, it's really sad.
