I know there’s a little more we haven’t been privy too she may or may not have done but it still doesn’t change the fact he did the work for YEARS. He thanked his friend. You'd be surprised at the amount of actors who lose their own voice during roles. Requires speech therapy to reclaim their prior voice/lose the voice they learned.

@ScatterGun_User yah but none of them could/can do the accents and changes in tone & timber over his lifetime. They can only do it in one way. Austin really studied and delivered all the differences thru out his whole career, right down to the last scenes onstage, when he was just a few weeks away from dieing. I had tkts to his next show, BTW, in Lexington, KY. Paid for it at 3pm, got in my car after work at 5, and heard he died! Just my luck.

Even more impressive than the fact that Austin nails it is the level of study and commitment it took. It is clear he wanted to honour the legacy of Elvis by doing the man justice. Austin belongs in that illustrious club of actors who didn't win the Oscar they deserved.

Austin portrayed Elvis So brilliantly! He was spot on not only with His voice, but with his moves, dancing and God given talent ! He had Elvis's talent in how he performed by showing different emotions Mostly when Elvis sang sad songs. He Poured his heart and Soul and generated So much passion into His lyrics. Sometimes it seemed as If Elvis was suffering from a broken heart and Austin was able to Portray that as well as his Charisma. Viva Austin 😮

You'd be surprised at the amount of actors who lose their own voice during roles. Requires speech therapy to reclaim their prior voice/lose the voice they learned.

Never been a huge Elvis fan, but that movie changed my mind. I dont think anyone else could have done a better performance

@ScatterGun_User yah but none of them could/can do the accents and changes in tone & timber over his lifetime. They can only do it in one way. Austin really studied and delivered all the differences thru out his whole career, right down to the last scenes onstage, when he was just a few weeks away from dieing. I had tkts to his next show, BTW, in Lexington, KY. Paid for it at 3pm, got in my car after work at 5, and heard he died! Just my luck.

No mimicking there period!!! Austin put 3 years into that role & Trained his voice & his body to become Elvis for that role! Do some research & start off by learning what “mimicking” means!!!

Even more impressive than the fact that Austin nails it is the level of study and commitment it took. It is clear he wanted to honour the legacy of Elvis by doing the man justice. Austin belongs in that illustrious club of actors who didn't win the Oscar they deserved.

Austin portrayed Elvis So brilliantly! He was spot on not only with His voice, but with his moves, dancing and God given talent ! He had Elvis's talent in how he performed by showing different emotions Mostly when Elvis sang sad songs. He Poured his heart and Soul and generated So much passion into His lyrics. Sometimes it seemed as If Elvis was suffering from a broken heart and Austin was able to Portray that as well as his Charisma. Viva Austin 😮

He was incredible as Elvis! I remember watching it in the theater & I was in "awe"!💋 I also remember that at his home, the walls were covered with huge pictures of Elvis & he was in character almost 24/7. I think he did an amazing job! 🌠🎤❣️

I've been studying Elvis for over 40 years, but it doesn't mean I could replicate him. Yes as fans we know every pitch, dip and quirk in his singing etc, but it's getting the sound right.
