Rick Moranus quit acting because his wife died and he had two kids to raise by himself. Little Pet Shop Of Horrors with him in it is mostly a musical/comedy but you might wanna justify it as a an actual horror for the month. I would highly suggest Army of Darkness but that is the third movie in the Evil Dead series and the first one is actual horror/campiness. The second movie jumps from straight horror to straight comedy while the third movie is action/comedy and has some great oneliners.

The best part about Venkman's negative reinforcement electroshock session is that he actually starts getting a correct result from the guy and still doesn't care about the work itself. When Egon gets upset at the EPA guy and swears at him and tries to attack him, it carries more weight because its Egon, the logical, calculated one. It's a great moment. Love the 'Get Her' callback. Ray says it in the library at the start and Venkman says it back at him in the Gozer confrontation. Whole movie is great really. Those are just the moments that amused me this time round.

One of my favorite parts in the movie is when a joyous Ray pulls up in an old clunker and says "Everybody can relax I found the car!". He then lists off all it's problems & how it basically needs about $10,000 of work done to it. Peter asks him "how much" the car was, and Ray says "Only $4,800" (about $13,000 today). The face Peter makes after hearing that is absolutely hilarious. Ray could have bought a brand new car for that price. 😂

Rick Moranis's performance is so fantastic in both Ghostbuster movies, it's honestly shocking how little some of his lines are as popular as some of the main cast. That entire tracking shot of him at his party just lamely circling the room giving mundane financial advice is hilarious. And the subtle scene stealing he pulls off when the Protection grid is being shut down. Watch that back, he's just there, slightly off centre shot cartoonishly mimicking everyone around him as it's what Vince would be doing in said scene. Such a good actor.

The third one isn't a sequel, it's an unrelated reboot. The one they're working on right now is supposed to be a direct continuation. One of the things that ended up on the cutting room floor in THIS movie is that Winston (the new guy) was an ex navy seal. There was going to be a running joke about him being the only effective one in the field while the others remain just as sloppy as they were at the hotel.

The green blob is Slimer, in both versions of the animated series he becomes a sort of "pet" for the Ghostbusters. He's an homage to the late John Belushi who was going to be in this movie as the Peter Venkman character but he passed 2 years before the release so Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis re-wrote the character for Bill Murray. The original Venkman was, apparently supposed to be kind of a slob, eating and drink excessively but that went to Slimer as part of the homage. Venkman's character became, as you saw, a womanising douche, fitting with rolls Bill Murray is more used to playing.

So, fun fact, Dan Aakroyd (Ray) actually had Ecto-1 fully kitted out, and he could name every single piece of equipment on or in the car, and what it's function was within canon.

Also, mimnimum in NY at time of Ghostbusters was 3.35/hr, so a full time job ran almost $7000/year. So 11,500 a year was actually pretty decent.

As an obvious comment, I would recommend Alien/Aliens both featuring Sigourney Weaver. Those are some great horror action films. Dickless is for Christmas movies and it's a bit early for that.
