4:00 exactly how we feel too! She's unreal - you gotta do more live ones like: 1,2,3,4,5 (Murder Song - same concert)... It Happened Quiet (live in studio)...Everything Matters w/ Pomme live....and Cure for Me. Other lives tunes I love: covers of Massive Attack - Teardrop and Ariana Grande - God is a Woman. Soooo good. Cheers! 😃

It's the 10 seconds from 1:15 to 1:25 where it looks like she really gets it. Watch the facial expressions - from smiling sweetly to a furrowed brow, almost tearful..and then "wow". From this is 'sweet' to this is 'special' in 10 seconds. :)

Yes, she writes her music, and her lyrics. There is magic in her voice, and in her words. For many of us she transcends simple commercial music production. She's an artist in the purest sense of that word. Truly one of a kind, the likes of which we'll probably never see again. This performance is just the tip of the iceberg. Her live performances at Nidarosdomen (particularly Lucky), and many of the songs off her new album are amazingly powerful.

I was a fan of her right from the first time I heard her back in 2015, she is a Norwegian singer, song writer, dancer, and record producer, she is just an incredible talent (the 26 year old Aurora started singing when she was 6 and is a very quiet and down to earth person as well) and reminds me of a fairy or mythical forest creature, she was also the voice of the North Wind in Disney's Frozen 2

I don't think she started singing at 6, but she did start playing instruments (Piano) at 6 😉. I think personally she did sing early but not english songs at that time, as she said herself words only came at 9 in a way as she started writing songs :)

She is very natural artist. The art is just inside her. She started to make music from 6 and starting write lyrics in English from 9 years old. And she learned to make music and to play piano by herself without any formal education. Even her parents did not know up to some time that she make music. She even did not wanted to be a artist, she just wanted to write songs and music. At first it was just her way to expressing emotions or helping deal with emotions (she is very empathic person). She is also very expressive (at first years even more as she was nervous in first years of performing, especially as a introvert and young person) and you can feel she is very much in the song and emotions. And yes she write her music and also coproduce it (in some documentaries it was said that she bring to studio almost finished songs). She is also very unique and interesting personality. I could give many recommendation as she has so many great songs/performances and even covers already (everyone has his own favorites) but I would recommend for next reaction Lucky live from Nidarosdomen. But other recommendations are great too :). Thx for a reaction I liked it very much and hope for more.

Aurora is by far one of the most beautiful and rewarding rabbit holes to fall into. She started writing poems and music early as a child in her homeland of Norway and the way she performs them are nothing short of amazing. You hit the nail on the head of her being like a fairy. Her music is about life and nature and the pure-ness of it all, plus she has a wonderful and delightfully quirky sense of humor when she speaks. On and Off stage she is genuine and truly loves her fans. You cant go wrong with Any of her songs and performances, even her official music videos are stunning, especially the one to this song... and this is coming from a life long Rock and Blues person. Aurora is something very special and unique.

Lovely reaction! I’m so glad you got around to discovering Aurora - I think I may have been one of those who suggested her to you. She really is an amazing performer - and yes, she wrote this song (when she was 11 years old!). She also is a producer, musician and dancer. Her lyrics are quite insightful and she has very strong opinions about human issues (and being human). Her live performances are the best way to experience her, but some of her music videos are mini masterpieces well worth watching. I’d suggest watching her performance of “It Happened Quiet” live at the Current next.

Aurora is actually a scientific process that she got named after. "Auroras are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by the solar wind ... the resulting ionization and excitation of atmospheric constituents emit light of varying colour and complexity. The form of the aurora, occurring within bands around both polar regions, is also dependent on the amount of acceleration imparted to the precipitating particles". She lives up to the name she was given by her parents quite well. Also check out Aurora telling you more about how the continuation of "pi" goes. She is wonderfully scientific while also being wonderfully artistic and emotional. Did you know that auroras emit sound? That is a recent discovery from hard science.

Please watch Through the eyes of a child live at Nidarosdomen. You will get chills, goosebumps and cry! Oh wow! I absolutely love your reaction. Aurora is an angel with an angelic voice. She uses her gift to spread love and healing, this is her mission and why she is an artist to begin with. She was discovered when someone filmed her during a school performance, but she didn't want to be an artist as she was very introverted and a bit shy. In the end she did it because she learned that her music could heal and thus her fate was realized. A great continuation from here I think is "Murder Song" from this same concert. A masterful performance that might be even more emotional.

Has followed her for seven years and has not heard a single song or performance that has been boring. Even if she sings sad songs, they fill up your mind and I get really warm and euphoric. Hi there, Bisscute ! First of all let me thank you so, so much for taking my request and reacting to Aurora, although it's not the video that I would have loved to see you react to, but that doesn't matter, since this one is also very beautiful and left a big impression on you, as it was clear to see... She performed 3 songs at this event. Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) and a cover of the Oasis song "Half the world away"... but as I have suggested to you, you should really check out her concert at Nidarosdomen, which is - by far - her best concert ! It's a masterpiece in each and every way : The venue, the setting, the instrumentation, the arrangments, the lights, the sound, the choice of songs... simply everything works in unison there and is pure magic, beauty and perfection ! 58 minutes long, with 12 songs... but "Lucky" is an extremely beautiful, and also meaningful song to start with... she wrote this song at the age of 9 years, and it has so deep and meaningful lyrics. It's considered her "anti-suicide-song" and believe me, Aurora will leave you speechless and mesmerized.... and yes ! Bring some tissues along with the reaction to this song, you may need them. Hoping to see you react again to Aurora, I wish you a wonderful day ! Greetings from Germany : Gerry

Her collaboration with Norwegian music group Wardruna might be my favorite live performance ever, I highly recommend checking it out. "Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (live)" It's beautiful. Wardruna uses traditional instruments and is inspired by Norse myths, legends and cultural practices. Helvegen is a song about guiding the dying into the afterlife/Hel (not hell), and the power of leaving behind a good reputation. Ps. It's in Norwegian, but the CC do a good job translating the lyrics.

A very astute reaction. Aurora at age 19, performing a brilliant song that she wrote aged 11, in such a passionate manner at a prestigious international event. Good luck trying to find another 19 year old who could match that. Aurora is definitely unique. Next look at either "Through The Eyes Of A Child" or "Lucky" from the masterpiece Nidarosdomen concert of 2017 (these will make your heart melt) or "Daydreamer" from the HAIK concert of 2019 (filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood). You mentioned make up and clothes. Aurora has two older sisters. The eldest, Miranda, is Aurora's make up artist (Aurora says she doesn't like people touching her face but she trusts her sister). Her other sister Viktoria was a teacher but became a clothes designer ans she and Aurora collaborate on Aurora's stage costumes. PS I watched a couple who reacted to this a few weeks ago. The male said Aurora isn't really talented and she moved too much. All his wife could come up with was this innocuous gem "I could like this song but I don't.". They claimed to be music lovers but that his difficult to believe.

Your instincts are on point! You have a GREAT ear for music. Your interpretations are very good. Aurora DID write this song when she was eleven, she is awesome! Thanks for sharing your reactions! They are very authentic. Oh, and don't let anyone give you crap about the sound of your voice or your accent, it is absolutely beautiful, and you are making yourself very clear (at least from my ears). Your English is very good, and I am sure you speak very well in your native tongue. You have a gift, in music, which is a universal love!

Hi Bisscute, I would really enjoy seeing you react to other Aurora performances. She is amazing, and what you enjoyed from her in this performance is just part of her, and can be found in every one of her songs. Please try out Murder Song (from the same event) It Happened Quiet, The Seed, Through the eyes of a child, river, frankly there are so many to choose from.

Hi Bisscute, thank you for your fine reaction. AURORA will pull you into every song and captivate you. AURORA writes the lyrics and music --> see "Quotes from AURORA" below. AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a singer, songwriter and producer. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back. She is capable of transporting feelings because she allows a look into her soul. Her fans call themselves warriors and weirdos. AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves She was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJd7m9yNqtbPo6g.html - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - phenomenal acoustics - angelic voice - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJxktbmNhtq-qNo.html - the saddest love song I've ever heard - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4lhsJiFod3KebA.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6GIy9OLYsK8cdo.html - the song is her way of suicide prevention - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/kYGXwbGGZdK0cZs.html - it's about the climat change - Exist For Love (Official Video - VEVO) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/aY14zdSDkcypoto.html - best love song ever!!! - Cure For Me (Official Video - VEVO) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/fWVrxshxYbWyabw.html - this cheerfulness of the music - even though she is hurt. - Queendom (Official Video) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/qYmAx7qegc7XlJM.html - about her queendom?? - Warrior (Live on the Honda Stage) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/e2eY2KVtpKevY9Y.html - it is for her warrios - Heathens (Live Performance) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6h_tJmtcdCWmMo.html - another incredibly profound lyrics I usually prefer her live performances. But in these cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA. Quotes from AURORA: 1. I think it is so strange that we are all biologically designed to be these perfect individual unique beings, but still the world we live in are continuously shaming us for being unique and different …. and it doesn’t make any sense to me. That’s why I think I've never feared being who I am and loving who I am and you should do the same, because it doesn’t matter what the world thinks. - The world is out of its mind! 2. I think it just make sense to be nice to everything that lives. It's kind of like we're all one body or like one mind but just split up in a thousand people. We are kind of like, if I hurt you then I hurt myself. If you are in pain then I am in pain because we're kind of one because we have one thing in common which is a life. You know, so it just makes sense doesn't it. 3. I’m constantly creating music, but it’s hard to picture how it sounds, when it’s all in my head. I write lyrics when I’m on plane, stand in line, do sound checks and so on. And I don’t have a piano available backstage. It’s very difficult to envision how the song will sound. The music is always in my head constantly evolving, but it’s really nice to come home and experiment with everything I’ve written on the road. To play and listen to how the song sounds to your ears from the outside point of view. Enjoy AURORA and have a nice day and Greetings from Germany
