I enjoy watching people discover Aurora for the first time, falling under her spell. Well done, Nathan! Welcome to the fan club, Jennifer!

And this isn’t even her best cover of that song. Live at Trygdekontoret is really magic. She both sing and play the piano there.

It's funny....before Aurora's cover, I'd heard this song easily 20 times. Always loved it, always been a Bowie fan. But I never _really_ had any idea what the song was....about. It always just kinda flew by me as a mishmash of vague sentences. But Aurora's cover....made the context and meaning and story of it so....obvious. It's so clearly about alienation and ennui and the desire to escape the crushing banality of modern life. Interestingly, Aurora has a very similar song of her own. Her song "A Different Kind of Human" is telling a very similar story. But this time the protagonist is a benevolent alien race...speaking to a human being feeling lost and in pain and despair....telling them to come with them, to escape to a better place. It's sort of a follow-up or response to Life on Mars. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't heard it yet!

Nice reaction 👍 Always great to watch people fall in love with Aurora ❤️ Aurora has never been in a talent show or anything like that 👍 She was discovered when a friend put her song out on Facebook, and the rest is history 😍👍

I already know you, and there was this other lady's voice in your reactions, sounded like European...that was an asset in your previous channel but the lady beside you is beautiful, so, I guess I'll subscribe again, it's all about Aurora......she's the Best of the best!

This version is great but I think the version on channel NRK is even better, where she plays a Fender Rhodes piano herself, I recommend you watch it privately, definitely worth the 6 minutes. You are completely correct she does not need the piano, check out the a cappella version of her song Through The Eyes of a Child, that version is called Vevo UK Lift.

tbh i personally prefer this one - it is a tough decision tho haha - i think i just feel a lot more emotion in this one, especially with the hand movements (obviously in the other she was busy on the rhodes) but something about this performance to me has more oomf in it but that's just me

I recall seeing a clip from a recent concert of hers where the power to the equipment went out (though not her mike for some reason), and she told the crowd she would be singing a cappella. A huge cheer rose up from her fans. What a treat! Aurora singing a cappella!

It was not a talent show at school where she was discovered, it was a song - I Had A Dream - that she performed at the 10th grade graduation celebration from primary school on June 21st 2012. Someone recorded it and uploaded it to FB. The audio of the full song is available, but only a short clip of the video exists. But she also rented a few hours in a studio in Dec 2012 and recorded a song Puppet as a Christmas gift for her parents. A friend took that recording and uploaded it without her knowing to the radio station NRK P3 to a site for new unknown artists on Dec 12th 2012, and it became popular. It was later released officially, and that song just had a 10 year anniversary. It was the combination of those 2 songs that she was discovered on.

You folks should take a side step and check out Aurora's contribution as an opening and then support singer for Wardruna and their song "Helvegen" for another few moments of musical magic...if that song isn't on the list already of course. Aurora's singing role in the Disney movie Frozen II might also be worthwhile to listen to.

What doesn't bug me anymore is how the fucking YT algorythm works, reactors have been hitting this Auroroa cover of Bowie's lovely song over and over the last couple weeks.....I know it's supposed to make us think it's us making our own decisions and we're the ones making the choices, that we actually like what it's feeding us with, pumping it all into our heads and making us happy, but, doesn't really matter b because Aurora is so freaking good and unique, and as I said before , it's all about Aurora I love this woman forever
