What a great job by her accompanist, to play the guitar part perfectly while providing the beautiful harmonies.

Her performances are like a living art exhibit. I don't like performance art, so I won't use that term to describe her. Her gestures, facial expressions, dancing, off beat charm, and amazing voice all work in a weird harmony to make unique art. Aurora would not be Aurora without all these pieces. I just love her quirks, and of course, her voice is beautiful. Beyond all that, her music touches me in ways I can't explain. And I'm her grandfathers age - go figure!

When Aurora sings it's as if she goes on a journey -- some place deeply interior. Often when she finishes a song, it's as if she's waking from a trance. This version of IHQ is so incredibly delicate and beautiful.

You should watch aurora’s interviews which are many. You will find total honesty. A child that grew up in the forest of western Norway without television, radio or internet. An introvert who becomes a forest elf hidden behind trees. A fairy writing songs. Perfect pitch. Teaching herself to play piano by ear. An empath who feels the pain of humanity. Now a Viking Shield Maiden out to change the world into a better place.

Only Aurora can write such beautiful songs about difficult topics (in this case, violence and perhaps rape in relationships) and she has done so many times i.e "The River", "Murder Song", "The Seed", "Churchyard" etc. To see Aurora's versatility, watch "Daydreamer" from the magical HAIK concert in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood, where she smiles and dances joyously.

Dear Schnell, when I was a young girl my mother and grandmother taught me well how to do all female chores so I can sew my clothes and grow food. I suppose the most joy between the two is the clothes but I also still LOVE all the other chores like cooking & cleaning and taking care of people. I am glad I learned so young since I had to take over the lead at 9 when mom started losing her health and memory & she passed when I was 14. I even passed up College to continue taking care of my dad & 4 brothers..

You can read this song as an abusive relationship and that love is wild in maby a bad way, but it depends on who's listening to the song. For me, with luckily no experiance of violence in a relationship, I can still read this in her lyrics and the way she moves and shivers when she sings the song. Then it turns this beautiful song into something else and it becomes quite a dark, scary song. I love that about Aurora and her songs. The level of creating, composing a song with multiple meanings is just so fantastic with her! How, in this case for me and the way I read this song, she can make you as a listener sit and enjoy a beautiful song and suddenly go...Hey wait a minute! This song is so dark and sad... wow! It hits you hard!!!

I would rather grow all my own food. I have some marginal experience with growing food, but I can't sew to save my life. A lot of people have in recent years tried to convince me of the joys of knitting, but I simply don't want to do it. If you want movement and energy I would recommend Aurora's "KEXP" concert (2018 i think), where she goes all in. If you want to continue the contemplative mood of this piece you could watch her concert from "Nidarosdomen". However if you instead want something in between which also takes place in a forest, you should try the "Haik" concert. She also has a lot of interviews, and because she's so honest, they're often quite funny. The funniest in my opinion is the one she did for "Like a version": kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJmIlcVqeMWqiJs.html

Check out Kate Bush live shows for one of the most expressive and artistic performers ever, Aurora a lot of times reminds of her, i wouldn't be surprised if Aurora is her fan and at least somewhat inspired by her music and expression on stage in the best way possible, Kate Bush was (still is) a pioneer in so many ways and many great musicians and artists were and still are influenced and inspired by her unique talents, her original song writing abilities at a very young age, her amazing voice, beauty and presence on stage, there are so many but in this link you can check out her song "Wow" live for example, it's from the early 80's i believe, peace. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mIZ6s7iGesmblaw.html&ab_channel=Typhoon
