Band BIO:
Aurora Aksnes was born in the Stavanger University Hospital in Stavanger, Norway, on 15 June 1996. She spent her first three years in Høle, a small town where her parents, May Britt Froastad and Jan Øystein Aksnes, had lived for 15 years. In her house in Høle, Aurora developed her taste for nature, singing, and traditional clothing, such as long skirts and hats. Later the family moved further north in western Norway, to a house in the woodlands of the Os mountains, a remote municipality in Hordaland, near Bergen. Aurora has described this place as "There are almost no cars, and the roads are small and bumpy, and there are lots of trees everywhere; it's very quiet, and the internet is bad." She has also compared it to the fictional land of Narnia. When she attended school, her sisters-Miranda (currently her makeup artist) and Viktoria Aksnes (currently her costume designer)-worried that she could be harassed by other students, due to her personality and "weird" way of dressing. "I used to be terrified of people who wanted to hug me," she said. "I did not like to be hugged as a child. And I used to be terrified of one of my teachers at school, but then I met him a few months ago, and it was really nice. It’s weird how things change.
FUN FACTS about band:
- Aurora did not originally expect to perform music professionally, preferring to keep her music private
- Aurora provided backing vocals on the song "Into the Unknown" from the hit Disney film Frozen II
- She cited the French metal band Gojira as her "favorite band" and has attended two of their concerts. She has also praised Mastodon and Refused.

I'm still hoping she can make it over to Australia again. I only discovered her just after she toured for the first time in Australia. That was 4 years ago I think. Dying for her to get over here so I can have that experience.
You can't go wrong with any Aurora song. She is one of a kind and so special

@@dicodec You are welcom. Silja has left Aurora's band now and gone solo. Most of her songs are in Norwegian.
Try out Aurora`s "Trough the Eyes of a Child" (Live in Nidarosdomen) or "Lucky" from the same consert in a incredible norwegian Cathedral- :)

For an amazing a capella version of Through the Eyes of a Child, the VEVO version is also great
I typically don't like this type of music, but for whatever reason I absolutely love this song. Particularly this version of the song. Big props to the audio engineering team. This sound is absolutely perfect.

"I want to go on a picnic with her.". Several years of being mesmerized by this young woman, and that is the simplest, most precise statement anyone has come up with about my feelings for her and her music...good on you.

I loved this song, about the tragic of love 💛🥀. Aurora is a Norwegian singer, 25 this year and started her journey at 2015 with her first song called Runaway 🍁.

just a correction :) , her first recorded song was Puppet from 2012 only 16yo , then came Awakening from march 2014 (first song on norwegian TV )but Runaway was indeed the song that blew the roof off!

I loved this reaction. Song and Aurora and Silja voices are great. Also as always Aurora is very "in" the song and expressive. Hope for more reaction to Aurora. Could be one of my favorites All Is Soft Inside live from KEXP 2018 or Lucky live from Nidarosdomen. But she has many great songs she wrote herself and also covers that you can not go wrong with her music.

Yass!! So glad you’ve found Aurora. Please keep exploring with her. She’s pure magic! Writing music since she was 9. Coproduces all her work. Just turned 25 this year. I recommend Warrior and Murder Song. Any and all versions are great. And each time a different performance. Aurora is a live phenomenon to behold. All about the live performance.

Love the reaction, perhaps the most emotionally honest I've heard. The best way to experience Aurora, I think, is emotionally since that's what she is all about. Fun fact: she loves heavy metal! Her live performances are phenomenal. Suggest her Through the Eyes of a Child or Lucky from the televised Dec. 28, 2017, Nidarosdomen concert in Trondheim./Silja Sol is the singer-guitarist. She won Norway's top award, the Spellemann Prize, in 2017 for her own work. She is now pursuing a solo career full-time.

Since I heard her for the first time - I love her voice, her feel... There are few singers that I love, except Floor, Aurora, Tatiana, Enya, Loreena.... I recommend Eivor "Falling Free" live. You will not be disappointed.

Aurora is amazing, I love her music. Can you react to another amazing female singer Kokia and her song "Il Mare Dei Suoni" live version from History concert tour 2012? Or song "Gematria" live version from concert Layers ~Lights and Shadows~ 2016, because in "Il Mare Dei Suoni" she singing more operatic, if you don't want to operatic singing. Please, she is amazing, but not that much popular, because of it almost no-one want to react to her. :( Please, can you?
