    This is the best channel on KZread! First of all, this is one of several fixes I’ve done to my A6, and I do it all by watching you! I have tiny hands and arms so I didn’t have to get under the car for this one, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you! My car feels like a whole new car now! Keep up the great work!

    Thanks. The 4.2 is very different from the 3.2 so the vacuum lines must have a different layout, unfortunately.

  • @ThatAfricanGuy

    @ThatAfricanGuy

    How do you know it is clogged up? I have never heard of a vacuum line being clogged before. They normally contain only air under pressure. If you watch the video till the end, you will see where it leads to. It connects to a bigger hose under the driver's side headlight.

    MY FRIEND, THAT HOSE ON THE ENGINE IS CRACKED. WHAT DOES IT DO FOR ME? HELP ME THIS AIR HOSE ?

  • @ThatAfricanGuy

    @ThatAfricanGuy

    3 жыл бұрын

    It is part of the evaporative emissions control system (EVAP). It helps direct gas vapors to the engine to be burnt instead of letting it into the atmosphere. It is also used by the engine air intake system to open intake flaps via vacuum. If yours is broken, you need to replace or fix it.

    Hey i stumbled upon a vacuum problem ... it happpened out of nowhere after I replaced my alternator.. the car had a rough idle from a cold start and felt like the engine skipped every 4 seconds and the rpms was higher than usual. Went to the dealer ship and they told me that there was a leak in the back of the intake manifold and I don’t know which direction to go with fixing it.. can you please tell me what are the possibilities or I can message you a video of how it sounds ? They also put a concern for a Pcv replacement.

  • @ThatAfricanGuy

    @ThatAfricanGuy

    @@kingmel3956 The video below showing how to replace the PCV valve may be helpful. This is what the dealership is recommending you to replace. There is an o-ring that seals it to the back of the upper intake manifold. It littetally tears up every time you remove the upper intake and most of the time you don't even realize there was an o-ring so people end up installing it back without the o-ring. Here is the video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZmYq9dxpKnFYNI.html

    Hey so i replaced the pcv valve properly noticed that the old one was missing an O ring , started it back up and still noticed that the manifold jumped a little the symptoms that I saw and heard is still happening but way less than before. I test drove it and it drove better than last time it still shakes with a small vacuum. I found no leaks from the back of the intake manifold but there’s still a gas smell coming from both the engine and exhaust

  • @ThatAfricanGuy

    @ThatAfricanGuy

    4 жыл бұрын

    The vacuum line on the left goes behind the air filter housing but I am not sure where it exactly leads. However, before going behind the air filter housing, there is a section where the hard hose stops and connects to a more flexible hose. The hard hose is what to worry about. Is your broken?
