of course it is, Brok was the only one in the room that wasn't already aware that Atreus could turn into a bear. - Kratos and Mimir learned it after they fought him at the start of the game. - Atreus told Sindri about it during his first playable section - Atreus transformed in front of Freya earlier when he tried to stop her from killing Kratos in Midgard. - and "Tyr" already knew since he's Odin, who is able to see almost everything that happens in the nine realms, including Kratos' fight with Bear Atreus in Midgard. Brok's reaction was clearly because he had NO IDEA about Atreus' shapeshifting ability because NO ONE told him.

I know this was a emotional scene and it’s delivered perfectly, but I f***ing DIED at Brok’s “What the FU*K?” when Atreus transformed. 😂💀😂💀😂

Probably because he's holding himself back, Atreus did get a cheap shot in on him after all and we've seen what happens to people that do cheap shots on Kratos, they tend not to get the chance to do it a second time.

Mimir scolding Atreus for disrespecting Kratos was awesome. He was trying to show him what happens where your trust in the wrong people, this case Odin, gets you and what also happened to Freya

Since he is disrespectful towards his father he is acting like a child which gave Kratos the right to call him boy since his behavior is childish towards him. And I would agree with Kratos.

This is the first and only time Kratos calls Atreus "Boy" throughout this entire game, and it signals the regression of their relationship to where it was in the first game, both of them distant and distrustful of each other. Progress has been lost. The shot of Atreus looking back at Kratos standing in the doorway I think is a direct reference to a similar shot in the previous game which happens near the beginning where Atreus is praying over Faye's corpse and he sees Kratos's imposing silhouette (here's the clip for reference: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZ58y9SrYpPHZKg.htmlsi=S3gMFMhDL97105eH&t=349 ), which expresses how Atreus views his own father in a simple frame. He fears him. He feels almost lesser than him. It signals that Atreus is no longer afraid of his father, he is more than defiant, he feels empowered to act in spite of him. Love that shot, it's absolutely perfect

The thing i like about Kratos is that he doesn't try to use anger in arguments,but makes the opposing side question their argument.

The soundtrack in this game was immaculate. The music swell when Kratos yells “BOY!” is amazing

Everything in this scene was just perfect, the voice acting from Christopher Judge ( Kratos ) Sunny Suljic ( Atreus ) and Alastair Duncan ( Mimir ) just really solidifies this scene, including the ''Boy!'' the music right before atreus jumps through the door the perfectly timed '' what the fuck '' by Brok because it's completely rational to react like that and the significance to the characters in general, definitely top 3 favourite scenes from the whole game.

I know Kratos is a better person now. But he's still scary as hell, and I would NEVER talk to him like that

Knowing about a certain dude and a certain thing he will turn out to be later makes this scene different in retrospect in a satisfying and subtle way

The 1 time he calls him boy the whole game, couldn’t have been for a better moment

They are real they are the actors I mean like in some way the heart and soul the actors put in this game make the characters feel real because in some way they are real they are living in the actors themselves

You know prior to the game coming out I originally pictured Atreus getting captured by Thor and being taken to to Asgard and Kratos goes on a rescue mission to save him and fights heimdall at the Asgard entrance.

Even against the Greek gods, I don't think Kratos has ever been so mad as when he yelled BOY

The "BOY!" Omg that took me back to me getting told off as a kid ahaha, but yeah, one of the few instances of old Kratos sounding like young Kratos
