I think John not swinging with atraxa when he had an opening twice during the game was a huge missplay because she has lifelink and vigilance it is a sustainable engine and can defend whilst regaining life. Unfortunatly that lack of 8 life may have been the cause of his downfall.

I love how there is a mono coloured, a triple colour, a four colour, and a five colour commander in this game! Pretty cool to see the different combinations in play.

I helped my friend build up his "The Ur-Dragon" deck when it came out, so it is nice to see Sarkhan Unbroken hit his ultimate. Investing five mana to draw a card and get one mana back is not a good investment, as opponents tend to deal with Sarkhan Unbroken as soon as it hits the table. Each turn that I saw pass and he was left uncheck, I could not help but think "uh oh... here we go... this isn't going to happen, is it? no way..."

I like this layout, but I still prefer seeing the commander's art in the layout!

damn, Atraxa players must be retarded af then if they don't have any means of life gain in their decks cause I mean she has white & black in her colors, the two colors that are the best at life gain...HOW IN DA F**K ARE THEY NOT GAINING LIFE?!

@@Ceracio whether the last part of your sentence was sarcasm or not doesn't matter, but anywho; even with lifelink opponents have ways of getting around lifelink like preventing her from attacking and making their creatures unblockable. The fact that atraxa players solely rely on her lifelink ability for life gain is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. If you running Atraxa, you NEED a good chunk of life gain spells cause your ass is gonna get targeted every time just cause of who Atraxa is and what shenanigans can happen with her.

This layout looks fantastic and it still utilizes the card minimizing in the center above the command zone, where most people I would assume could put two-and-two together if the commander is there or not. It's been a helluva week for you guys and the new improvements really show. Just finished your video explaining your process making and editing these and it really gives me a new look on how much you do to keep new, refreshing and clean content on this channel for so long. Apart of atraxa i got all of the decks in this vid with the corresponding dragon commanders. Although i switch my ur dragon for my scion of the ur dragon depending on how bad i want to win xD. Scion is a bit more Boeing sometimes cuz of the reliable combo piece.

My first EDH deck was the Ur dragon deck. And to see another one win with the help of my favorite planeswalker Sarkhan just makes me happy

Out of the three new layouts that you showcased so far I prefer this layout the best. However, like many other people I have seen commenting, I miss the pictures of the commanders. Thanks for all the great videos, we don't deserve you.

Why are John never attacking? Gaining life seems pretty worth it (especially with vigilance) and there were times when someone did not have a blocker.

The riffs on the 'generic goblin noise' opening still make my day better, even having heard them all multiple times. This one might be my second-favorite behind the baseball one.

I think that I like this 3rd over lay or the first one. Just my opinion though

I think the first layout struck me as the nicest one, but this one is also pretty great! I'd be happy with seeing either one take over as main layout :) Cool game btw, feels like there were some neat/weird dragons I haven't seen much of before!

This layout is probably the best of both worlds: card images in the centre is much better than on the side IMO and the name/life boxes for each player look really nice too. But yeah, just need to fix the fact that it's Atraxa, not Karador in this video.

I hadn't voted for overlay yet.. I've been waiting for a KZread poll... But this one gets my vote.

"Generic Goblin Noise" I love you guys, when you use PJ and Jolt for your intros; they're hilarious.

Not that it matters, but why didn't Steve just cast Scourge of Valkas and then ultimate Sarkhan. The dragons all enter at the same time, plus the Lathliss tokens, and it does about a thousand damage.

The skyrim map Playmat is awesome!

For Andrew you casted a few dragons with lathliss dragon Queen out which triggers getting a 5/5 dragon creature token.

A note for all the coin flippers out there: flipping onto a surface like the table or floor produces the most skewed results, as coin edges are usually heavily biased one way or the other. Catching the coin in the air is how you get proper 50/50 odds.

Steve forgot to get a 2/2 dragon from sacking the nesting dragon egg to Slaughter the Strong.

I like this layout, it's very clean

I like this layout much better than the second one. I didn't like the second one because having the card display off to the side had my eyes going back and forth between it and the players boards. I felt like I was missing what was happening because everything was happening quickly. Whereas with the 3rd layout, my eyes are centered and I can still see what is happening as the cards being displayed.

Still waiting on good old fella Steven for the list

I vote for the first or third overlay. I just like the minimalist approach.

This was an awesome match! I got a 5c ur/scion dragon deck (but i haver never drawn my dragon arch NOR my sarkhan in 1 year time XD) also got a mono red lathiless deck and an arcades deck! I think my arcades one is the most reliable one of the bunch, although arcades himself is also the weak spot of the deck sadly.

What was John trying to achieve in this game? His deck doesn't seem to have any clear goal or synergy off of such a synergistic commander. Atraxa is how you gain life in that deck. So when he just left her there, after all those hits to himself with his mana crypt and other shenanigans, I just don't get what he was trying to achieve.

This layout is fine but I preferred the first of the three "experimental" layouts. This one has the same information but since it takes up more space the benefits of the minimal-istic overlay are lost imo. And maybe it's just me but something about the brighter colors and the far larger fonts makes me feel like it's aimed at children more. (Weird, I know). In summation: this takes second, please never the one we saw previously, and the first experimental layout was by far my favorite.

I think for me the big issue with layout two was the card display. It shrunk the screen, was off center and just yech. 1 or 3 is the way to go

DarkX64 that’s entirely the issue with the second one. It also wasted a lot of space as the card being shown didn’t use the full sidebar anyway.

Did Lathliss actually create those extra dragons at the end? Didn’t all of them come in at the same time so Lathliss wouldn’t have actually triggered?
