Rambles a bit much

I am not kidding. This is the one that blew me away. And of course you will have games that you like more. It’s not objective. Minis for example don’t turn me on much.

Nice Nice love it all ready I'm usually not that in to your taste for board games well most of them, but this one defiantly looks awesome and your awesome as well love the way you explain how game works and your reviews excellent job

A friend just introduced me to this game and I’m totally addicted to it now 😅

While watching live play I was meh at first but this is quickly becoming high on my wishlist. Can't wait to play

This review further confirms my decision to back it on KS.

I didn't have any desire to play the 1st edition, but this looks fun.

The game looks awesome but there is just one small thing that bothers me. Why make the letters on the player roles/characters SO big that they bleed into the image of the person ? Make them a bit smaller and put them a little bit to the right so they are just on the orange part of the board. It drives my OCD crazy !

Curious which other games he score 10/10. I know of one other: imperial Settlers: Empires of the North(Which I got and definitely replaced IS for me) This one should be sent out to me. Hopefully very soon.

@@janusthede42He might judge game differently for Dice Tower and for BGG...The BGG star's description are mostly personal views, while he might go more with a "designer" perspective for his DT rating

Love this game!!!

And just like that I regret not backing this on Kickstarter.

Hello! My name is Kaity and I was one of the lead play testers on the Atlantis Rising 2nd Edition. The new version does allow players to make the games easier or harder if they like. There are 5 different difficulty levels outlined in the rule book with instructions on how to set up for the different levels. Some of the fans of the 1st edition of Atlantis Rising enjoyed how difficult the games was and you can still achieve that challenge if desired. In development, the Elf Creek Team worked with the designers to make it so the game could scaled to be more approachable (and fun!) for gamers not looking for quite the crunch. Zee I respect your reviews. It hurts how different our tastes are because I want to like what you like so I have another excuse to watch your videos. That said, I did pick this one up and can't wait to get it to the table!

I love the way you explained the gamelength with climax being too soon or early. Actual length doesn't bother me, it's those two extremes mentioned

Another solid review from Zee. Just sad he did not mention the name of Vincent Dutrait in his final thoughts, as aesthetics does rely mainly on artworks

You can look up Zees ratings on BGG... he actually rates this game a 9 and first edition an 8.

@@dbungart3044 That makes it a bit confusing then, since it doesn't translate to his 10/10 review for this game. Am I supposed to assuming his BGG ratings of "9" is equivalent to his Gold Seal?

Christofil Anciano it’s very possible he just changed his rating of the game since recording this review. But I can’t imagine he recorded this review more than 2 weeks ago, so it’s surprising it changed to a 9 so quickly.

Can't wait for rthis to be delivered... Anyone else thinking this could replace Pandemic as Zee's #1 of all time?

I find one thing about this game very tedious. That rolling a die for resources mechanic. It's so lucky. The only way you can mitigate the results are by using those super scarce power pebbles. You know, there should be a consolation. I hate situations in games, where by rolling badly, you get absolutely nothing. YOu feel like your entire turn has been wasted. There should always be a less powerful action available if your dice luck is low.

At least they could redo the rules to scoot the washed away Atlanteans to the Mystic Power Source to get a Mystic Energy per Atlantean as a consolation prize. I might house rule that since I played it that way incorrectly the first few times and still lost. I know that this invalidates one of the Library cards but it's a small price to pay to keep this from entering The Night Cage levels of hopelessness.
