Athletic jumping throws for increased for increased power, velocity, and accuracy. This video is part 2 in a 3 part jump throw series. These athletic throws are created from the constraints theory and build an environment where you can become your own best teacher. Learn how to move, throw, and land athletically by constantly changing up the movements required before making an accurate throw. You will most likely struggle at first but that is good as these athletic jump throw movements are new challenges to take on. Through the utilization of these drills in practice and because of the way these drills are designed you will quickly improve your power, accuracy, mechanics, velocity, quickness, and movement efficiency. All you have to focus on is getting closer and closer to achieving the task which is hitting the target. Players can utilize this drill on their own because the athletic jump throws are "learn by doing" drills. The quicker you can get through the jumps while increasing throwing accuracy the more athletic and adaptable you become. Coaches Can utilize these drills in practice or as a drill for players to perform at home because it is incredibly fun, challenging, and unique. As this is video 2 in the athletic jump throw series (3 parts) we begin by introducing ground reaction force jumps, absorbing force, and quickly throwing the ball while in the air mid jump. Check out video 1 for a decrease in difficulty and video 3 for an increase in difficulty where the progressions build into some really cool drills involving ground reaction force, spinning, around the waist, between the legs, 360's, summersaults, etc.
All these skills are easy enough a child can learn them through practice but difficult enough most adults can't perform them.
