I bought some of these on GM&O a while back. They are pretty nice. I always take the roofwalk off because I model in the early eighties.
Steve, A great quick review on the Athearn cars . I use a very similar method for weathering also. I'm all about quick and easy methods. You can always hit them a second time for those that want more weathering. Thanks for the post. Any thoughts you can share on what your next project will be?

I haven’t decided what projects I’ll work on next in terms of the layout build requests I have. I also will be starting to work on a n scale small switching layout for myself as well at some point soon.
