Our Goodwill stores rarely go through the pockets. OK by me because I found $200 worth of TJ Maxx gift cards (still valid) in a purse I bought! Mostly, I just find old receipts, Kleenex (ick), candy, business cards and occasionally, cash (yay)!

WOW had no ideas the Goodwill had gotten so commercialized. This not the Goodwill I remember. Goodwill it seems has become an auction house. So much for the middle class or poor being able to buy.

You can't beat Coach for quality and craftsmanship. I love vintage Coach.

I completely agree with you, Coach hands down over MK, especially when it comes to the all leather pieces!! But honestly, the market was saturated by both during the same time frame.

Found a 50s Schiarpelli red leather wallet today at an estate sale! 50 cents!

*THANK YOU for another informative video.* I also will not wear obvious logos. The older Coach bags were far better made than the new ones today. I have a couple with the heavy brass hardware & saddle flap that are BETTER than new because I keep the leather saddle-soaped and supple. Most of the new Coach bags have that ugly coating on the leather that really cheapens the look. The solution with bags is to carry a small cross body and leave the big bag in the car. I don't know how women can carry huge suitcase-sized bags around all day and not wreck their shoulders. I want my hands free and love the small cross bodies. *Love these on-site videos you've been doing.* I always Like before even watching and am sure to Comment & Share your videos. Thanks again. Even if I had the money, I would never pay that much for a purse. People that wait in line to get into the Louis Vuitton store are crazy. Hell to the no!

I never buy new bags. I luck out at thrift stores. Found a hounds tooth Harvey seatbelt bag in clean condition. Resale is great on those. I love it and has been carrying it a couple of years. Get plenty of comments on it.

I like the 60s and 70s leather Coach purses designed by Bonnie Cashin. I have owned then sold a few of them. Wish I had not sold my favorite Cashin Coach. Sigh.

This might be your best teaching video ever. I think a whole video about one type of product gives you a chance to go more in depth about it and really disseminate some knowledge to us. I love all your videos but this one feels more efficient as a teaching tool. If you did videos like "What to look for when buying purses for resale" or "What to look for when buying a mid-century modern vase for resale" I think they would be your most watched videos. By a lot. Novice resellers are often trying to learn one or two categories at a time and focusing in on only them. Then, when they feel competent at that they move on to another category they're interested in but need to know more about.

I'd also be in pocket book heaven. I'm pretty nostalgic and have my 8th grade eittenne anger purse😂

Ohhh my goodness! All of those handbags look new! Where did they come from? Are that many being donated by private parties or from retail outlets? I've scored old D&B favorites for under $50! And they look new. Thank you Dr. Lori for a trip to handbag heaven!

You should do a list of top 10 pocketbook designers desired some of us folks don't know what the top designers are because we can't afford to even think about those type of things but if we came across them we wouldn't know it because we could never had the luxury

I could NEVER work at a Goodwill, Salvation Army, Village or Savers!! Too much temptation for me! I wouldn’t be focused on helping the customers and pissed if they scored anything I wanted!

Don’t know if they still do it but Coach used to restitch seams on a purse if it came apart.

I think the Dooney & Burke was very nice on you. I’m not sure if I missed it but had they been priced yet? Curious how they determine what they sell for at Goodwill. I never ever put a nice purse on the floor!!!

I don't pickup purses for resell because I'm currently not knowledgeable enough to know the difference between genuine or fake. I'm illiterate when it comes to purse brands. Im hard on my purses so i buy what i like that are cheap in price for my personal use!

i only like the old vintage coach and dooney. the really good leather. i am a big lady. 6ft and 200lbs, i need a big bag.

i miss marshall fields. you could drop off your coach and they would clean and condition the item or send it off and repair for free. it was guaranteed for life.

So many fake Coach bags out there, how do you tell the real ones??? Never even saw a real one…never really tried either…just not into name brands or purses.

Those purses look new at my goodwill they are full of junk

Goodwill merchandise are over priced for a thrift shop for used items , people go to thrift shops because they are poor and can not pay too much for clothing especially if they have many kids and teenagers

Kate Spade's suicide ruined the brand for a lot of people. I'm surprised the resale values have held as much as they have.

I think that her passing has alot to do with the resale market values being so high and the fact that the old Kate Spade pieces are so much higher quality than the current pieces imo

I think I am the only person that doesn't like Coach. I just never liked the style of their bags.

@KimberlyManuel-ee3ov I don’t like Coach either. The bags and belts were a must have when I was in High School (80’s) just like Vera Bradley was popular. I didn’t know the brand then, but I love it now! I did have a Coach purse and belt out of peer pressure. I found 3 bags dumpster diving a few years ago that are still sitting. Maybe I’ll let my daughter use them as she gets older. The CC GC LV MK looks cheap and easy to knock off. Give me a Ferragamo, Tod’s or Bottega any day!
