I watched from Columbia SC with my wife and young daughter….still mind-blown years later. Happy to see any new footage of it too!! Thank you!

Awesome video! A 360 panorama would’ve been awesome, but I totally understand that you want to really enjoy the eclipse without being busy with photography

Awesome video. I watched the eclipse from a park in "downtown" Mackay, ID. Almost everything I know about astrophotography I learned from the Lonely Speck - a tremendous resource. Thanks Ian.

So cool man! I came down all the way from northern Idaho and spent it at sawtooth lake right outside Stanley. It was the most amazing experience of my life.

This video reminds me of a saying from some famous landscape photographer that a great landscape photographer will enjoy the most beautiful moment rather than just taking photos. While everybody was busy taking photos of the sun, you put down your camera and held your wife's hand along with the cute dog, that scene was beautiful!

As always, your videos are great! I love the trio portrait with the eclipsed sun overhead! What lens did you use? What about settings for the video and stills?
