If your coolant is that low & again after you filled up you have more problems than cold heater

That's what my coolant tank looked like had to change all the seals had a lot of oil leaking in to the reservoir never had a problem since

I had this problem.. change the thermostat too..

Could be just a split hose. Not necessarily head gasket. Astra's are notorious for leaking.

You shouldnt be topping up coolant while engine is hot. must wait engine to cool down 'coz u may create other problems

Your least worry shoul not be the heat bot working. That low on coolant cant break the engine XD

Pollen filter blocked

Had same issue; got thermostat and water pump replaced then maybe 3 weeks later my HEADGASKET blew which was the main cause of the coolant being burnt out, get rid of the car as soon as you can HEADGASKET repair is not worth it and when it completely blows cars worth nothing

@@lesedimashinini1480 excess smoke, loss of coolant I think you should monitor levels and oil mixing with coolant , so it’ll make coolant look sludge slush Brown in colour

Misfire is a sign of a bad head gasket or running rough, and loss of coolant and oil.
