If we lose this game at Villa Park, it's not going to be Olsen's fault. I think he has the potential to give up a goal or two more than Martinez would, but our team should be good enough to keep Olsen from having to make saves against Olympiacos. And that's really what it comes down to for me.

I have a lot of confidence in Olsen, like all keepers including Emi they need a strong defense to support them. He has improved his game immensely in every area including saving pens 😊 he gets my vote of confidence without any reservations.

i know it's only The Europa Conference League, but I genuinely haven't been this excited/optimistic since the early Eighties. No matter what happens this month, we can be proud of the Villa. The right decisions have been made and long may that continue. WE'RE BACK, BABY !!!!

@@MindSurf248 It will be on Emery if he insists Olsen plays out the back like Emi. He should be thinking of having Duran up top for holding up long balls and flick headers. Watkins can't be challenging for them all game.

Whatever the outcome tomorrow and the rest of the season, Unai has done wonders with the squad he’s had after all the injuries we’ve suffered this season. Best season for a long time.

Get behind Olsen all you want but there's a reason he has his reputation. I personally think we're fucked with him in goal. He can't play from out the back and looks very unconfident overall. He's an Everton reject. It's going to be incredibly difficult, especially if we okay the way we did against Chelski. Hope I'm wrong.

They have had a weird season but playing well recently by the looks of things. Don’t look great at the back so if we play on front foot we can have the beating of them

Hi luke. i agree that we've got more quality but Carlos has to come in at Centre half for me. Konsa at rb. Cash can be used in midfield if needed. Zaniolo did a great job keeping Ben White quiet so, if their main threat is down the right, get him in too! Rodgers can fill in for Tielemans

Think we were forced to go long vs. Chelsea not because of Olsen in goal but I think because Chelsea dominated the midfield so much and pressed so hard we had no choice, it made sense and was a smart tactic against us, but yeah we don't do it super well. Might be able to build up against Olympiacos, as good as I'm sure they are, can they nullify us the way Lille did?? We'll see tomorrow... Hopefully we perform really well and I'm sure we've got that in us, I'd love to see us route them like we did Ajax but you don't get to the semifinals without having some quality! UTV

I do not think you would play Diaby, early. I would play Zaniola on the left. He will give us another long outlet and if he bosses his size again against the fullback again, it will be beneficial

I've been thinking the same but I can't justify to myself taking Rogers out. That said, Zaniolo has played at this level and if you need to go long (whether or not that's because of Olsen) he is the better option. That hold up play vs Arsenal was the best we've had on display in years. So yeah I think I'm Zaniolo for this too, just don't want to say it. 😂

Admittedly, he hasn't done bad for some time now. We have to be willing to change our opinions and he can't have done much more to try and change ours. He's not Martinez, but the Martinez we signed wasn't this Martinez either. Any goal keeper just by default of the position possess a possibility to totally screw up a game for his team. No matter what happens, we should remember that Emi isn't playing because he was booked (unfairly). Olsen has played the majority of this competitions games for us and has played in big games before. Let's go on that rather than our opinions - whether or not they were Once fair to hold.

I get olsen ain't emi but he also never keeps a clean sheet if it wasn't for Ashley Young against spurs olsen would have 0 clean sheets in a villa shirt which is pathetic. The block made a great save last week against Chelsea but other than that he never makes a save and that's what worries me, his kicking is good but his shot stopping is Sunday league level he never makes a save For the villa fans who think winning this competition means nothing YES IT IS to win this competition would be massive it's not a pathetic competition at all it's getting bigger each year and it's a stepping stone for us
