Astaxanthin

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video you'll discover the nootropic benefits of Astaxanthin. Including why we use Astaxanthin as a nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research.
Astaxanthin is a natural pink xanthophyll found primarily in Haematococcus pluvialis algae, and the salmon, shellfish, krill, and birds that feed on them (i.e., pink flamingos).
Astaxanthin is one of the few antioxidants that can cross the blood-brain barrier and blood-retinal barrier, benefiting both your brain and vision.
As a nootropic, Astaxanthin is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory providing protection from Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurodegenerative disease.
A comparative study shows Astaxanthin 6,000-times more potent than Vitamin C, 550-times more powerful than Vitamin E, and 5-times better than Beta Carotene. It can also neutralize Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) without generating pro-oxidants, a common side effect of other antioxidants.
Neurohackers who supplement with Astaxanthin report a dramatic difference in how they feel. With more energy and less brain fog.
People with joint and muscle pain say they get relief from their pain. And Astaxanthin is especially beneficial for vision. Try it and you may find your eyesight getting better.
And many using Astaxanthin say they found that they can stay in the sun significantly longer without getting burned.
Recommended dosage of Astaxanthin is 4 - 16 mgs per day.

NootropicsExpert, Hi David! I knew you'd get around to this one. Thanks for the great information. I've been taking it for close to five months now. I have however, taken some time off from taking it consistently. So, I'm probably around 3 1/2 months then I took one month off. I'm currently back on to taking the supplement as of last week. Changes I've noticed are skin clearing up, memory recall is better i.e., remembering where I left the keys comes quicker and I've noticed guitar playing is more creative,. Stomach seems to be a bit more settled, but not always. As for the eyesight improvement, I haven't received any positive results as of yet. That is the primary reason that I purchased it. Thanks for the additional research. I'll check out the supplement you recommended for better vision. Overall, I will continue to supplement with astaxanthin as I may need more time with it to help my body. Shalom.

I actually take this to lower my dht. Got blood work and my androgen (dht) levels was so elevated it almost came out the paper. You will get the same symptoms as low androgen because it’s testosterone that activates the androgen receptors not dht. So anything that can potentially lower the conversion is good with me.:)

I’ve tried so many different supplements. I’ve found many that help, but I’m still on the hunt for something that will kick them to the curb forever. :) Maybe my brain is really deficient in a key nutrient and it’s overheating the neurotransmitters. That’s my thinking anyway. Any help would be so much appreciated!

I used to get severe headaches that would require me to stay in bed for a couple of days, vomiting, light sensitivity. So I hope this will help you and your dad. 💊

2 years ago I heavily abused Phenibut HCL,I took enormous doses everyday. Quit cold turkey and I slipped into a psychosis and eventually got diagnosed with schizophrenia. I was also taking Kratom and L-tyrosine,but only abused Phenibut. I was wondering if we could talk about setting up a nootropic stack to fix my brain chemistry in order to stop my delusions. Thanks

I took antipsychotics that stopped most of the delusions, however my thought broadcasting delusion still remains. Apparently gaba has a strong correlation with dopamine, most doctors think dopamine is hugely responsible for schizophrenic symptoms. Which makes sense because Phenibut increases gaba, which is a nootropic I heavily abused.

Depesh, dopamine and serotonin need to be in balance. So you use L-Tyrosine during the day to increase dopamine when you need it. Then use L-Tryptophan before bed to increase serotonin which goes on to produce melatonin. L-Tyrosine morning and noon. Possibly again at 4 PM if you need it.

Michael, great question and I don't think anyone knows the answer. We do know that Astaxanthin inhibits the conversion of testosterone to DHT. But not at what dose this inhibition occurs at. It can theoretically affect libido, semen quality, etc. But I doubt this is a problem at a dosage of 4 mg per day. Maybe someone will see this comment who uses higher doses and let us know if there was a problem.

Also , please look into Ashwagandha as well as Haritaki , both of which can be found and inexpensively at any Indian Grocers . They both are said to cut off negativity at its root . Take the Ashwaghanda with some proteins such as milk ... by the way ashwagandha does not increase testosterone but instead it balances the hormones for both men and women alike . Also there is another all natural product again that has been used for several thousand years like those others I named : it is called Sweet Flag root it's also called calamus root and at Indian grocers it is called Vaj . But there is also something that works very quickly that you can do right now and it is an exercise using your fingers it is a form of a yoga and is wired to the brain ... these hand yoga's are called mudras . Please look at the mudra for fear ... there are several ways to do it but I feel the easiest one is where you put your hands up the way you would do if you were surrendering ... The Palms of your hands are facing straight ahead and the back of your hands or towards your shoulders , elbow is bent down towards the hips . If you can hold this position while sitting comfortably for about 7 minutes , especially if you do it three times a day , you will see that it keeps fear away ... the kind of fear that you can physically feel in your body . During a very stressful time in my life I did it one day ... and went almost a week with no fear . Please let me know if you try that mudra and if it helps you .

  • @NootropicsExpert

    @NootropicsExpert

Liz, Astaxanthin may inhibit the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Possibly resulting in low libido, enlarged breasts, decreased semen quantity during ejaculation, impotence, increased skin pigmentation, hair growth, weight gain, and depression. So not the best for ED as far as I can tell. But definitely it'll help with blood sugar and memory. And should help with energy.

  • @NootropicsExpert

Yes because Astaxanthin seems to inhibit the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Which can result in impotence, increased skin pigmentation, hair growth, weight gain, and depression. And if you are hypersensitive to 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors should completely avoid Astaxanthin.

When you say it works thousands times better than vitamin C,E, and beta carotene, does that mean it can replace these vitamins and nutrients? If it does wouldn’t that cause a toxicity? Can taking too much change the color of your skin like what happens when someone eats an excessive amount of carrots?

  • @NootropicsExpert

Adam, what I said was, "A comparative study shows Astaxanthin 6,000-times more potent than Vitamin C, 550-times more powerful than Vitamin E, and 5-times better than Beta Carotene in trapping energy from a singlet oxygen, one of the most common Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in your body and brain." I didn't say it was "better" but more effective in reducing oxidative stress. But difference. And no, you cannot replace these Vitamins with Astaxanthin because each vitamin has several other jobs in your brain and body.
