    Ah, those things are "fun" to have... By law here we have to have them on to prevent getting a fine from overly bored policemen, so what we do is we clip them on for the ride to the forest, take them off once there and repeat on the way home. Except once I forgot to take them off and one of them managed to hit me in the face when it decided to yeet itself at 45 km/h downhill on a road.

    Cheap ass pro-tip: Those giant zip ties that come with new bike packaging are so big, it's super easy to release the lock with a screwdriver and then you can reuse them again for something else. Diamondback frames have come a long way. Glad to see them back in the fray and there's no denying that you've helped them get alot of exposure. They were a boutique brand back in the 80's when I used to ride BMX (these brands didn't embrace the MTB revolution: Skyway, CW, Mongoose, Redline, Haro) although Mongoose is making strides. Would love to see DB and Mongoose grab some markethshare by lowering prices on high end bikes. Good looking ride BTW

Either GX or X01, but with an X01 or XX1 cassette (apparently the GX cassettes develop noise problems over time, and also the X01/XX1 ones last longer).

    Just so that way you know, you generally don't want to have an o-ring in between the valve stem nut and the rim. The reason for this is this could allow the chamber of a double walled rim to become pressurized. It only really comes up if the rim tape isn't perfect. Great video and love the orange!

  • @danielstaelgraeve9522

    @danielstaelgraeve9522

    It wouldn’t pressurize unless every spoke managed to seal up. Most valvestems come with nuts with built in o-rings to go up against the rim. If anything the ring just helps put constant compression on the valve and keeps the nut from backing off.

    Greetings all the way from México city my son and I are new subcribers, we love bikes, but can't afort those nice bikes like you have in you garage. It's a dream to have something like that Here in México we have something like a fleemarket well kind of lower we call it mercado, like chacharas or use parts when ever we find one good part we just asamble our bikes with where ever we can scrap and make it work.. and we go for a ride in the park but like you know when you have an use bike with use parts it brakes down 😅 but it doesnt stop as to keep trying have fun i told my son when you grow up and have a good job you can buy one of those fancy bikes like the dimondback you have. With the pandemic i lost my job so we use the old bikes we buy from the fleemarket or tianguis here in México... we enjoy watching you hacks and how you can ride at the back of you own house. You take care and please make a video buying a old bike like as and put it togueter with where ever parts you can find use😁 saludos..
