one of my favourite comedies. Brilliant writing & acting but of course, it's written by John Sullivan, so I can't get any better.

Talking dirty in that posh voice.....yes please! ,It would never grow old. Posh women normally look unaproachable, she's just the opposite. More than easy on the eye and inviting. Just started watching just good friends again, I was 17 when it came out. Just as funny now.

In 1980 I watched the newly released "Dracula" film, and had a crush on Mina Van Helsing (and I still have). Her appearance was stunning in the film. Her blue eyes and hair... I wish I had a girlfriend like her! Also, her calming voice and feminity... Really, if I had in Dracula's place, I would have no doubtly chosen her as my bride. Jan Francis (Mina) still remains in my mind as a lovely woman (and a good actress).

Yes, @majordolbyscat, you are right. So I am not the only one who thinks Jan Francis as Mina was better than Kate Nelligan in the movie... Also, do you have any idea why John Badham chose to swap the names of the feminine characters? You know, Mina Van Helsing is Stoker's Lucy Westenra, actually...

She was a rare actress, almost unique, in that she had a very good reading voice. Maybe her dancing developed breath control and posture that helped to avoid the tendency to shrillness.

I stand by this comment. Thank you Patrick. I've been single forever, will continue to seek a woman with the strength of yesterdays ideology but traditional beliefs, values and finding someone who knows the difference between equality and equity, is getting increasingly difficult.
