Harsh irony is that the large actor to Agutter's side who "knew no stuntman who could play him" died from doing his own stunt just a couple of years after this interview

White man binge many episode, watch many moons White man say series much confused.. He say American Sargeant Major shut up from Maine speak with Welsh tongue American escapee soldier in early episode speak like west country bloke He say Red man not convincing, too much blue eye, speak with Shakespearian tongue He say braves look like from Bolton White man go on to say Hawkeye dull man, lack personality, not fit for central figure in series but much needed for transatlantic syndication.. white man have broader vocabulary than I He say that none of men in series fit for bright eyes Jan, should stick with Paul Nicholas White man concludes by saying for all downsides, hokey sets and bad acting he enjoyed series He appreciate upload As he walk away white man still insist Men Behaving Badly was shite

I'm struck by how calm the people are. They seem content and at ease with themselves and with the people around them. Today we watch our children leave and we worry if they will arrive home safe. That's the norm for most families in London. During the last 40 years we working class have lost something of immense value. Yes we might be able to buy more 'things' but at what cost.

Just finished binge-watching. 6 episodes last night; 7 tonight. Saw it back in 1969 on New Zealand TV on Sunday evenings. Never forgotten the theme tune and remembered it featured a barge. That's all I could remember. Never thought I'd see it again. Very natural script and realise some dialogue was improvised. O'Callaghan is a convincing actor. Sad ending in a way - seemed a pretty abrupt parting after what they'd been through together. Thanks for posting it MD. One thing I'd still like to see is Freewheelers but I think those episodes are lost to us.
