I had the biggest crush on Jan Francis. She was so gorgeous :)
Just love these two actors together amazing
Jan Francis was lovely. ❤️
Paul Nicholas was born to play that role.
Wow. Paul's voice and whisper. LOL. Love him. Jan indeed was a beautiful lady.

It's not Paul whispering
WOW JAN IS A REAL STUNNER .
At the time, what a coup for Cadbury's this must've been - the hottest couple on the box !

I heard they got paid more money for this ad than what they got for the series.
I'm watching Just Good Friends today - yes the show might be dated but I still love how gorgeous Jan Francis is - an absolute stunner. What a funny advert too - don't make them like that anymore.

@@jwc-lw3sp This is a fabulous and funny show with sweet innocent and charming British humour. I'm non white btw and would imagine that the BBC would cast Penny as a black woman, even though only 4pc of our population is black, have at least one LGBT character, again only 2.5pc of our nation is this way inclined. Paul Nicholas's Cockney accent has all but disappeared from our London streets. The show would ram climate change down our throats, hate the Conservative party and would be politically correct and not funny. This is sadly what I mean as "dated".

@@chrissaltaur1254 you know what the sad thing is. I agree on every single point you’ve made. They’d do all those things and probably more. They’d turn it into a hyper political and divisive show before you foul say ‘DAPHNE’. Thanks for sharing, doesn’t it make you glad they aren’t remaking the show. Also thanks for the swift reply even though I commented two years later😅🫡

There was an innocence to Paul Nicholas that was unexpected.
Three words come to my mind when I hear this guy's voice: Adventures of Spot
To my fellow heterosexual males. Yes, we loved her, and our ladies adored him!
Along with Diane Chambers-the sexiest posh bird on telly back then. Both precious, difficult snobs-but you loved 'em for it.

I don't agree, I would rather have a Cadbury's Wispa
He sounds like the narrator of How It's Made. (I know he's not)
The days when chocolate tasted like chocolate. Nowadays even a wispa don’t taste like a wispa

Cadbury chocolate only every tasted like tat next to Continental stuff as it still does today. That's not to say I don't enjoy it or wasn't addicted to Spiras growing up - it's just what the British palate is used to. But it's not chocolate.

Jan is definitely tastier than the chocolate ❤❤
I'm sorry I missed the Paul Nicholas sitcom Close to Home, in which he played a vet. Did viewers get to see many of his animal patients?
this would've worked on me
Was anyone actually able to open a Wispa bar like that ? Can you think of other Wispa guests in these ads ? Arthur Lowe and John Le Mesurier, Paul Eddington and Nigel Hawthorne, Simon Cadell and Ruth Madoc.

Dennis Waterman and John Thaw, Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones.
Paul Nicholas invented reggae.
He only ever played himself and got quite tiresome. Jan was a very good actress and was excellent in Secret Army.
