💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

    Oh man, I used to watch your older videos in 2017-2019ish in the background as ASMR hahaha, the ones in the basement where it was just simple, quiet, relaxing conversations etc. This is awesome

    As an ASMR enjoyer I have some suggestions because I believe this channel can grow as big as some of the channels I mention below These are all things I noticed from other channels I enjoy watching like Gibi Asmr, Timur Doctorov, ASMR Twix, ShiliTV, Cleo Abrahams 1. A short preview chapter that highlights some of the various things happening in the video will increase retention. Some of the best sounds/most intriguing visuals should be here. 2. Add chapters to your video!!! 3. Mic'd up hands or other well place mics other than mic on camera adds great audio

    I enjoy watching the packaging as much as the making, gives me great ideas for the year winter holidays - bourbon candy season 🙂. And every winter I long for a countertop enrober, if they exist. Hand dipping is therapeutic but sometimes I just want to coat more than two at once.

    Why do you guys juggle the corn syrup so much? I would imagine just scooping and then immediately plopping into the the copper kettle would go faster. So there must be a reason. Is it to prevent sticking even more? To get a more accurate amount? Traditional and that's just how it's done? I'd love to know, if there is an answer.

  • @Gabe54607

    @Gabe54607

    I don't know for sure but I imagine if they don't jiggle the corn syrup blobs, it would stick all over her hands and that's why she dips it in water too. Just my guess though 😊

  • @HerculesCandyASMR

    @HerculesCandyASMR

    4 ай бұрын

    You're both right! If we didn't juggle it, it would stick to our hands more. And it makes it easier to ball it up so there is no messy corn syrup trail between the bucket and the kettle

    How do you know how much that handful of corn syrup is?

  • @HerculesCandyASMR

    @HerculesCandyASMR

    4 ай бұрын

    Good question! We have no idea how much each handful weighs. But that doesn't matter, the copper kettle was sitting on a big scale and she was keeping an eye on if the scale moved with each ball of corn syrup she added.

  • @lcplantnerd
    @lcplantnerd14 күн бұрын

    I know the corn syrup scooping is part of your history, but a spigot would make a lot more sense at the scale you're operating.

    Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. Some people experience it with videos like this, I don't. But I do find these sounds and visuals to be very relaxing.

    I can't believe in this day and age anything being made by hand. Modern technology and assembly lines which are available to introduce this company into making millions.

    It's being made by hand in small batches is what makes this company special! They don't care about making millions! They care about the product their putting out. Most products made on assembly lines are inferior compared to what's produced by hand in small batches.
