@@jaydensalisbury1782 Nah he's right. Qualified barber here, so I'll throw in my two pennies. A straight razor should only ever move vertically on the skin. A correctly sharpened straight razor will cut the skin the moment you move sideways. The reason he's doing it is because the blade isn't sharp enough to slice through the hair shafts, so instead he's effectively sawing them. You can see this when he's shaving under the chin; he actually moves the blade vertically and it instantly snags. He's also sharpened it to within an inch of its life. The edge of the blade is no longer straight, it's curved. It's called a straight razor for a reason.

There are hardly any barbers left who use a straight razor for shaving.. it requires a lot of skills and of course the toughness of the man.. but the smoothness of shave is mind blowing... My humble regards to this barber...

I sometimes use a straight razor at home. And it can give you a really clean shave if you do it right.

One of the best haircuts I've ever gotten in my life was on deployment by a Kurdish man, dude changed out his razer blade mulitple times to make sure i was given a clean cut. He also cleaned me up pretty well given his limited equipment and did better than most great clip barbers.

I wish my barber was this quick and quiet.

I love how the barber fiddles around with his tools for tingles. Completely impractical, but such an awareness to audience.

The way this Ustara cuts the beard is damn so satisfying 🫠

Did you see how much effort he put into making the lather at the beginning we rarely do that this was a revelation for me when I discovered a few years ago that if you have your own shaving soap that you can make a massive amount of really thick lava from a fairly small amount of soap and it just changes the way you shave because it's such an improvement on the sort of fairly thin lava that we use because we don't mix it enough we really need to mix it more this guy knows what he's doing and look at the size of his hands as well.

This video is so satisfying... Use of Ustara has become an art and nobody knows how to use it. The very fact that this man did it without even a cut says it all😊

Retirar uma barba crescida na navalha, requer muita habilidade. Com certeza causa algum incômodo. Normalmente se utilizaria uma máquina para rebaixar ao máximo, e ai se iniciaria o barbear. A máquina manual para o corte do cabelo, quando adolescente, cheguei a experimentar. Quando a afiação já apresentava falhas, costumava incomodar😅😅😅. Velhos tempos, belos dias.
