Honestly WoD got a lot of shit but I've never had as much fun playing fury warrior as I did raiding mythic highmaul and brf with sudden death and multistrike. For what it's worth, they nailed that part.

@@conorf8091 their visual design and cinematic departments have always been industry leading, but whether or not ffxiv's trailers come close or not is a pretty biased evaluation. At the very least I doubt Blizzard would have had half of their current players if not for their cinematics. It's been a long time since the days of Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft, and Starcraft 2 and Overwatch didn't have nearly the same player retention as previous games. The point Zac made was that Blizzard's games as of late haven't been great anyway.

Asmon just being chill and having fun is just so adorable.

It's sort of a subjective thing, but I legitimately enjoyed classic/vanilla far more than any of the expansions I played, and still play on a vanilla private server to this day. It really was as good as I remember, I just don't have the same time and energy to invest.

I feel the same way, but at the same time I think at least some of the common criticism is valid because I also feel like it could have been so much better if instead of selling a new expansion on the regular they worked on finishing and polishing the game they had. There was still so much left unfinished when they released TBC 15 years ago, and so much made obsolete or at least a lot less relevant, sweeping old problems under the rug, resetting the playing field to intice new players for short-term profit. The fact they made the same mistake again now says it all.

17:40 I agree that's true for most people, but I actually developed way more of my praise after I replayed it. Some people were lured into false hype, but other people (like myself) kept hearing other people ragging on it and thought that it wouldn't be as fun as it was. It depends on who you listen to, I guess.

been saying it for years. Everybody kept saying some up coming mmo would be the "WoW Killer" but I kept saying WoW would be the WoW killer. Just didn't think they would actually do it.

For the last part about Paladins, that's one of the things that's wrong with WoW these days. Back in the day, even during Legion, you could have some fantasy about your class and feel something for just being part of that. You'd be OK doing a bit less DPS, because you were a fucking Paladin or a Warlock or a Shaman. Now everything is so utterly devoid of character, the only thing you want to know is "which class and spec does highest dps" and you switch to that.

Blizzard has been cultivating that culture, by introducing endless grinding systems, tying progression to gear and not skill, and most importantly allowing classes to go completely unbalanced for 2-3 patches at a time with dps specs like feral not being able to participate at all in mythic plus unless you are running it with friends (in BfA I do not know if they fixed it now).

I also think the reason cat girls are attractive is because cats have a lithe grace about them. They are stealthy and efficient killers, but also intelligent, sassy and sweet. It's what they represent not that they are actually cats, at least for most people. The ears and tail help aid in expression. Humans have super expressive faces, so we don't need external stimuli like a heavy focus on body language that other animals use. But a cat girl? Or a partial human with cat like ears and tail? Super expressive. Even people who are one night stand types tend to enjoy seeing expression of happiness, shyness, excitement etc. Emotions are important and expressing them in more extreme ways would be nice for everyone. I can imagine a lot of autists as well who struggle with emotional expressions would love if people had ears and tail to aid with showing their mood. It's also raw, I would gather that and ears and tail on a dog/cat etc and absolutely on a human isn't something you'd control. Animal emotions are expressive when you know what to look for. Seeing that body language on a person as well as facial expressions I think would help a lot of people in a lot of ways, not just those with social struggles. Would also make lying difficult if you don't really control the expression of your ears/tail as animals tend to.

There is a /pet emote and if they want, they can in fact choose to react with ears going up and down. So...... this can happen, actual IRL, you just need someone to do the second half.

These have gotten far more funny after the switch to ff14 lmfao

I worked over two decades in a office, I had three bosses/supervisors/etc where anytime of the afternoon, on any day of the week, if I put my empty coffee mug on their desk & closed their office door when I walked in, I got quarter of a mug of something like Jameson, & if they pour themselves one I'd sit and we'd spend the rest of the day drinking & shooting the shit ... if they didn't pour themselves one, I say thanks and head back to my desk, and once finished I'd work my way to the other two bosses /supervisors and repeat. As long as all the work was completed already, this would go on for days, it is how I got a raise to a level where I could have my own office, and expected to do the same for them when they ran low, or just expected it was my time to buy a bottle... but number one thing was we were able to talk and listened to each other... it was more like therapy... we knew how smart each other were from out working environment so we had each others respect. Best was just before an upcoming holidays, where 5+ of us would end up in one closed dorr office, all drinking 'coffee'.

Paladins were the most prominent knights and fighters of the alliance. They were the ones that made the difference in the war, alongside maybe a few exceptional mages. So why shouldn't it be expected that Paladins are some kind of elite, badass in battle and war? XD Blizzard needs to learn how to balance their shit.
