Indians are deeply religious, and it's because of religious Hindus (a more pluralistic religion compared to any Abrahamic religion) that India became a secular country. Hindus can pray to Jesus and Buddha, but can a Christian pray to a Hindu god? That answers your question.

British classified non-abrahmic religions under hindu fold. Adivasis having no religion are considered Hindus. Liganyats rejecting Vedas are Hindus. Vegitarian Vaishanvas and tantric rituals everything was classified hindu. So brahmanism doesn't represent entire country. India belongs to all caste , faiths, etc.

In palaki's opinion development is big buildings, digital payment, airports bought by adani no matter even if they collapsed in Arunachal paradesh. At the same time for some people development means providing food to poor people for 3 time a day and having gas stove instead of using wood which is causing breathing issues for woman. If you went to Village you will get to know. How much development is done in villages. If you are in favour of any party it's your wish.

Atleast we have decreased corruption in public-govt. interface, thanks to digitalization. I remember having to bribe policeman in 2008 for getting my passport, despite having all the documents. Last year when i got passport for my son it was hastle free. The change in 10 yrs of Modi rule is quite visibly only if u r willing to see. Ever since the planning commission was scraped, they only release data which favours the political agenda of government. When GDP growth rate was hit by demonetisation they cleverly calculated growth rate only for organised sector but in reality most of the economy lies in informal sector.

Because of Modi's incompetence many people died on the road not because of Corona but because of improper implementation of Lockdown. People were not given sufficient time to travel to their native, especially labourers, Around 8700 people died on the tracks. Modi mishandled Covid-19 crisis which lead to another wave of Corona.

Disclaimer: I am not supporter of any political party. I understand the divide between rich and poor is detrimental to society in the world, but the entire Ideology of Capitalism at its core has failed to acknowledge this issue across the world even today. Adding a very different outlook which is left behind is the amount of (corruption) money which India has lost around 86% Cash(mentioned by speaker) after demonetisation which if had been in the money system might have pointed that it has always been the 1% rich which held the 40% money but people never talked about it because corrupted money was never accounted for in a person's income around 15 years ago.(And the reason why I say this is because Indian Tax Payer base as well as Gross Income Tax has seen a sharp rise in the last 5-7 years.)

What I wanted to point out was that since cash money which included black money(As Schneider estimates, using the dynamic multiple-indicators multiple-causes method and by currency demand method, the size of India's black money economy was between 23 and 26% of official GDP- data taken from Wikipedia) was never accounted for. So we never knew who held that money and it's an intelligent guess, that it was probably in the hands of top 1-2% but that was never accounted for in calculation of World Inequality Lab since it combine different data sources: national accounts, survey data, fiscal data, and wealth rankings (this doesn't include corruption money). My point has never been to create a link between demonetisation and More Tax Collection but it has been to state the point that Wealth has always been concentrated in india in hands of 1% even before BJP Government came to power which was thought not to be the issue in 2014 because most people thought wealth was distributed to the poor via welfare but in reality it never reached the people it was intended for despite best efforts by previous Congress Government. Now, I would borrow your information that the wealth and money was generated after devastating demonetisation which consequently lead to more tax collection from the sources that you mentioned. Henceforth leading to more money pumped to welfare programmes seem to be a better situation. And I agree with your point that he is not the best leader for India there has never been throughout history whether it was Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi or Narendra Modi. India need more, people need better governance, atleast that is something we can agree on. It's truly the future which can tell us what happened right and what was wrong.

Being a Hindu, I’m not against missionary conversions in India(esp in North east, Andhra, TN, Punjab, Kerala). I’m not insecure about my faith. Let people choose whom they want to follow. However my objection is against the global media which frequently, thro its documentaries, demonises Hindu image by deliberately using a footage of guy wearing tilak, Safron, chanting Jai shree ram etc in every video which has got no relevance whatsoever. They are trying too hard to show Hindus as radicals for muslims outside of India(without full context). India is plural, not bcuz of our constitution, but because of Hinduism. Hindus are tolerant. Hinduism doesn’t preach “My way or the high way” ideology. Hindus believe that all paths lead to God. Fun Fact: did you know Nehru chacha prohibited entry of Sadhus to Nagaland after independence! Several lakh Millionaires and businessmen left India and took up foreign citizenship due to extortion by Modi and its govt. Electoral Bond scam is an evidence for that. It shows how corporate companies are forced to buy electoral bonds. If they don't buy, companies are raided by ED, CBI and IT. If they pay the extortion money (buying of electoral bonds), case is closed against such company. Another scam of Electoral bonds are by way of giving Govt Contracts to build roads, bridges, tunnels, manufacture, etc.

And this is not just an Indian viewpoint but there's been independent research on this. I mean, one of the rankings even placed Afghanistan above India for press freedom 😂 What an absolute joke. And the so-called experts who feed data to these 'impartial' surveys are well known India baiters with a certain ideological bent. The speaker belongs to the same category. In any case, all his points have been rebutted in multiple debates, discussions across India so I won't participate in that futile exercise. All you can do is laugh at this joker.
