Having been in office since 2014, Modi’s rule has catapulted India to greater prominence on the global stage. Many equate his policy agendas to robust economic growth, tackling corruption, and putting “India first.” On the other hand, Modi’s administration has been criticised for mishandling a growing discontent within the agricultural sector, instigating conflict between religious groups, and failing to revitalise the health and education sectors. Against the backdrop of ever-strong popularity among voters, it is imperative to discuss whether the BJP’s direction under Modi has been more polarising than unifying. The question then becomes: what (or who) is the right path for India as it surges ahead into the future?

At first i was confused but his main concern was with Modi' s india and he is right India does not belong to one person or driven by one ideology ,it belongs to Us i.e."Our India" .my understandings on his views are first - Rather than talking about People's issues like per capita income or "Climate change" Politicians are blaming each other,digging history ,trying to demean each other using weapon like communal divide Second - he thrashed UK who act like hypocrite thirdly his main point was that People are aware and they know India ( India -that our freedom fighters have dreamed off)and one person can not control or force his/ her idea on such a diverse country . Why Modi is in the strong position is because of weak oppostion ,Opposition has failed in building strong narrative and raising the issues and problem of common people .

He is wrong when he asks all opposition parties to unite to drive one man out. Multiple opposition parties with different ideologies were always there in India. India has never been two party system like US. So the way he is mentioning all opposition to act as one cohort to drive the ruling party out, is not a the democratic system India follows or will ever succeed in following. Simply because each of those parties has a different ideology, aspirations, motivations. May be with difficulty they can come together for election, but they can never run a cohesive government for 5 years. And that will be a disaster for India. Indians who have grown up in late 90s and 2000s have seen this first hand and know this very well and that is why even if some voters don't vote for BJP in state elections, they vote for BJP in general elections.

The crux of this explained in a simple way. Take for example, Water is boiling in a vessel. Akash - The water and the vessel were in the kitchen on the gas stove since the morning. It's not supposed to be a speech. But a debate. He handled it as such. I see no fault in his approach. He maintained a very balanced pov, not embarrassing India by dissecting the domestic affairs(which are many) on an international platform. He legitimately questioned why the West is bethroned on the high horse. When was India on the right/wrong direction? He is a very seasoned anchor, with some theatrics. Absolutely gold standard line of questioning as far as I am concerned along the lines of who made the West the judge of the world.

However I am living right now, and I see more atrocities committed by current governments, the courts flagging them out.
