Yea their way of recording that album has a lot of background noise that covers the little details in the guitar. Look at any cover of a song in shaped by fire. You will hear so much more. I went to learn “my own grave” and it’s wayyyy more complex than u would originally think by listening to it

Tone is always on point

I was so amped after you nailed the solo that I had to stand up and circle around the room to burn the adrenaline off.

The cleanest guitar player on KZread in my personal opinion. At least of the covers I’ve seen. And can we talk about Phil’s soloing chops? I can easily tell the difference between his solos and Nick’s. Nick has a bit more feel & insane bends but Phil’s style is more technical & suits AILD’s sound a bit more.

That chorus riff is probably one of the best lead lines I've ever heard, kind of reminds me of the one on "Not My Funeral" by Children Of Bodom. You're insane, dude 🙌🏾
