You can't help but like the guy AND admire his ability! He comes across as very humble, respectful AND with a pretty good sense of humour considering the culture & language difference (I know he's been living in Canada for a fair few years). I was hoping Yarde could actually beat him, but it was not to be, just too committed, too strong in mind and body. In the post fight interview he said he knew he was going to get hit...that's boxing, but his trainer gave further insight here, detailing how they were planning to take him into the later rounds where they knew Beterbiev's strength & stamina would start to dominate the (already visually) tiring Yarde!! Strategy worked 100%! GREAT effort from Anthony Yarde though!!

@@AzaharSpain In my opinion I think bivol is batman when you think about it he’s probably the smarter more technical boxer. I would also say he has more tools at his disposal than beterbiev from a boxing perspective and batman (bivol) is one of the few if not only that have superman’s weaknesses kryptonite which in this case is superior boxing ability at least that’s what most believe. Then you have superman (beterbiev) a force to be reckoned with who can be beat but really only one way with kryptonite (boxing your ass off for 12 rounds)

He was not in control the whole fight. Its was very close in terms of round by round but he had clearly hurt Yarde more

he wasn't just getting going he was tired. But he did break down Yarde nicely. Yarde needs to seriously work on getting off the ropes and avoiding traps with his footwork. If he fixes this he'll be a champ

@Fill E Shell I never said I didn't like any part of it. It's a fantastic interview and really shows a lot about who yarde is and how it takes defeat. We could all learn a thing or 2 for him.

So pleased I had the opportunity to watch this live at OVO arena! Artur Beterbiev has such a great boxing IQ , he doesn’t waste punches , always in the pocket , you could see Yarde boxing getting more erratic as the fight went on ! Yarde was struggling with pace from round 4 , don’t know how Yarde was up on the score cards ! Yarde looked good in round 7 ( ?) whenever Yarde had success , Beterbiev immediately punished him back !

Artur is a great fighter. Humble , powerful and very talented. It’s hard to see him losing.

Geez he said that he was just “waking up” his gears from 1-8 rounds and hasn’t even shifted to high gears yet. I imagine what it would have been in the championship rounds when he really turns up the levels. 😮

He is not a brawler all out, he is very technical with it just watch his punches such as unorthodox style. Such a humble and respectful guy but savage in the ring. Love this dude, so humble, hell of a scrap, glad I watched it as beforehand hand I was worried Yarde would be destroyed. Yarde still wins in losing in some way. Massive experience. Can't see him fighting anyone tougher moving on.

Dude Crawford has the resume of a Burger King employee that’s why he gets no credit and ward robbed kovalev and punched his sack that’s why he gets no credit and his resume is thin and retired to avoid Bivol and beterbiev. Mell charlo gets credit because he actually fought killers to build a great resume without controversy as well as shakur and prograis. Don’t get it twisted, you’ll get credit when you’ve earned it.

Everybody is different. Some fighters (be it boxing or mma) "trash" talk (Mike Tyson/ Connor McGregor) some don't.

Artur Beterbiev seems like a genuinely good person, love watching him fight and listening to what he has to say.

This was a great great fight. I'm so impressed with Anthony Yarde and the skill, power and determined effort he showed in every round of this battle. But I'm doubly impressed with Artur Beterbiev at 38 years old. His skill, power, determination heart and strength, endurance and pure grit in the midst of a proper shoot out. Some mad hard shots were thrown by both men and they were both rocked multiple times, but what I expected to happen did and that was that Yarde would eventually crumble under the constant onslaught of Beterbiev. Nuf respect to Yarde because he hit Beterbiev with every kitchen sink in the street but he was also going to get the same and I couldn't see him lasting out. Was a good stoppage in my book by Tunde because Yarde was going to get seriously hurt over the next minute and at least he gets his stock raised and lives to hopefully fight for the championship again in the not too distant future and achieve the goal. The respect Beterbiev gave him in the post fight interview was so good to hear because he knew he'd been in a war...and that was exactly what he trained for and it showed. Artur Beterbiev is undoubtedly a worthy unified light heavyweight champion 👑🥊

I am a Yarde fan. "Yard-man" everytime but Beterbiev is the man of this division without question and seems like a really good dude.

Just imagine getting out of a professional boxing match when u are tired and received multiple shots to the head while trying to speak a language you are not good at being filmed and with questions in a british accent

Great guy, have to say Yardes counters were so good early in the fight but technically beterbiev is brilliant.
