The guys gave a real spectacle to the audience and the British audience clearly appreciated this. What a difference from a tedious fight between Dmitry Bivol and Craig Richards! Both Yarde and Beterbiev delivered in a big way.

Beterbiev's punches are so accurate, no unnecessary movements or punches.. Great job 👏 champion

Beterbiev demolished Joe Smith in a couple of rounds, and Smith took Bivol the distance. Beterbiev has beaten elite LHWs in Gvodzyk, and good LHWs in Browne, Smith etc. Bivol barely beat Richards, beat a Mexican midget who isn’t even a LHW and has pillow fists, he will get knocked out for sure by Beterbiev but is waiting for Artur to get old. And Yarde was Beterbievs mandatory he had to fight him

I saw beterbiev in totale control, never had to push the pace. Yarde was never a problema and barely won One round and i think It was the best performance of career by Yarde. Simply there are tens of levels of difference betwren the two: beterbiev Is an elite boxer, yarde Is average, at best he Is at domestic level.

Yarde is a good fighter and can take a punch. But Artur is a hunter. Once he has worked out the strengths and weaknesses of his opponent, he comes in for the kill.

Just finished re-watching this masterpiece again...what a champion beterviev, all his fights are ended by KO , almost 40 years old if im not wrong....impressive stuff diffcult not to admire his power and defense.

Such a great fight to watch ! Last minutes of round 5 and 7 were so enjoyable, absolute slugfest, both displayed great mental strength there ! I like both fighters but always rooted for beterbiev. I'm glad he won and I also think that this loss for Yarde is 10x more honorable than his past victories, he put up a great performance

rob? Beterviev won 3 rounds only until the finish. and I bet on Beterviev and I was even on the attendance too. round 1,2,3,5,6 (6 was real close though) are all Anthony until he got stopped. Beterbiev only won the 4,7, and winning the 8 with a finish at the top of that. Beterbiev was getting out pointed but he's wearing down Anthony due to his constant power punches.

5-2 Beterbiev, Yarde worked really well in the first two rounds, but after the third, the Russian dominated all the fight. And the commentary was ridiculous, Yarde receiving a flory of punches and the commentators saying they're "exchanging punches" with "both boxers lading good shots" I cracked up listening to this. I'll not even talk about the judges, it's England folks, robbery is the rule.

Anthony was up... rounds 1,2,3,5,6 (6 was air tight close could have gone either way) was all him... Beterviev won 4,7, and winning the 8 with stoppage or not.

not a close fight, but Betrbiev winning 5-1 with 1 round drawn before the final round. Was clear early on that Yarde would not be able to cope with Beterbiev's work rate, style, pressure and heavy hands. Yarde did well to take so many heavy shots...but Beterbiev was in control and doing the most damage from the beginning. Commentators and judges were delusional or worse.

Warren paid the judges to score it differently, like when Warren wanted Dubois to win (vs Joyce) the judges had Dubois leading on the cards.

Definitely not 5-1. 3 rounds to Yarde. Commentators were biased though.

Yarde won the first 2 and one more in between rounds 5 and 6. 4-3 to Artur before the KO is definitely not a blow out. Yes Betebiev showed he is better but Yarde did more than just 'take good shots' he landed a good few of his own and showed he belonged at that level.

The bias against the Russian was unreal. Yarde loses his mouth piece twice, headbutts on the eye round 5 and 6. Nothing. Beterbiev doing what he usually does, break opponents down. He saw Yarde wasn't opening up so, switched tactics baiting him in for overhand.

The eastern style of boxing, more specifically, the russian, is extremely efficient. They make only the necessary movements. No extras. From footwork to head movement. They're usually where they're supposed to be. And timing is king, and placement proceeds timing. Reminds of Pirog. Damn shame his career was cut short!

Yes, Pirog, was king. But he adopted more of an US American style over time, mastered the Philly Shell. Mayweather style defense became his trademark

The east-European style is more about Bivol, Gvozdyk and Usyk. Beterbiev is an inside fighter, not an outside fighter like most East-European fighters.

Pirog was not a typical Russian fighter except in his mentality. His style was very American & slick.

Commentary was really biased towards Artur, the guys gone to the 12th round before and still knocked his opponent out, that's not just heart, it's skill, precision and conditioning, Beterbiev showed he was better in every department in this fight.

Yarde cleverly and savingly said towel to his corner ... he didn't want to end up with a knockout and didn't want to show that he was openly surrendering ... But it is wonderful to see how the athletes embrace each other at the end of the macth

Beterbiev absolutely showed is glass and granite body. Yes Yarde put in a great performance but there is no bloody way that he was ahead in any way. Yarde's trainer did a wonderful thing by stopping the fight, Yarde was not answering the refs instructions, honestly I don't know how he let him continue? But yea the trainer loves his fighter as there was some serious damage coming Yarde's way. Great stoppage by Beterbiev, he has to be top 5 pvp!!

What a fight. Beterbiev is made of steel.

Yard wasn't out of he's league here, fair play to Yarde. Good fight!

This fight wasn’t close, it was competitive in spots but Beterbiev always hand his number, Richie woodhalls commentary was embarrassing and so where the final scorecards, yarde is getting praised for being a good loser

Бетербиев настоящий боец, проявил характер, хотя сечка у него была глубокая и мешала очень! Но мне не понятно, почему повтор момента атаки накдауна, мало показывали, и судья мне показалось, помогал энтони ярду востановится и тянул время!!!

The commentary was as per all British / English standards... Yarde won it cos he's our lad and actually turned up.. No boxing analysis... Just tinted glasses, seeing what they wanna see.. Lol

The commentary wasn’t very neutral, in round 7 they were calling Yarde had weathered the storm, and the tide had turned. Beterbiev looked stronger, Yarde was out on his feet. Beterbiev’s punches were more effective. Preferred the American commentary. However great fight, Yarde was tremendous, showed a lot of courage.
