Yes, not using enough vinegar does result in wastage as I have already found out lol. However is there a negative side from using too much vinegar when separating the Casein from milk?

The clumps will be smaller. So, you would need to use a fine mesh to capture the casein. Heating to 40C first is ideal, and just pipe in small amounts until you see complete separation. So, no real down side.

Glad it was helpful! I hope you give it a try. I still have that piece I did and it is in perfect condition. At least I think I still have it. No. I'm sure I still have it, it's just that I can't lay my mind on it right now. I recently deconstructed my lab bench to make room for a Winter Garden. I hope you take a look at what I am up to lately.

This seems like a great idea, however I'd need data on how stable it is for archival, light fastness etc. before I'd actually use it for any real art.

I think you would be challenged knowing what real data is, and where to find it. But nice, intelligent sounding reply. For you, buy it only, where they take the time to write it on a label for you. Leonardo did not have labels to go by, and the criteria you learned the words to seem to not be a problem for him.

I think your videos are really useful thanks! But I seem to be doing something wrong. When I put the substance into a blender, after 15 minutes or so the whole substance is turning into one big gummy lump. Do I do something wrong with the heath maybe? The blender is making the substance quite warm also, is that oke?

I had to watch this again, as it is an old invention. So, I think the blender is a mistake, use a hand whisk like I did in the video. I pass along a lot of information during the video you should take note of. I do miss having time to invent things for KZread'rs. My business takes most of my time now.

Yes, you can use milk. Look for my videos on how to precipitate Casein from milk. I have made several videos showing this, so you are in luck. You also, stay safe and blessed.

Caseïne is made from milk to which vinegar is added, so, if you already have the caseïne, why not just add water and ammonia?
