looking at old art and redrawing it is one of my favorite things to do. its an amazing way to see progress and to also put what youve learned inbetween to work. its also a nice reminder to ones self that, you may not see it in the moment, but you are getting better and you are growing. keep it up man!

It’s really interesting to see you point out your mistakes. The Flash comparison with his arm in particular, wow! You’ve improved a lot in such a short time. Most of us would never have spotted those “mistakes” in the first place, but when you compare them to your more recent art, it really does stand out This is an inspiring video and makes me want to look closer at my own artwork to work on the bad habits I’ve developed lol 😄 Great work Dok! Thank you Kyle! Glad I could motivate you a bit 🤗 I worked a lot on all kind of things and still have too. I guess I struggle the most with complicated poses. It’s very hard to know where the muscles go when they are twisted a lot and then there are so many choices you have to make when doing the lighting... Awesome progress so far! Btw, the reason the forearm suddenly gets much smaller half-way down is because that's where the muscle bellies of the forearm muscles end and simply turn to tendon. And no matter how much you lift weights, the tendons never grow, only the muscle bellies. You've already observed this visually, of course, but that is the reason behind it. :)

Can you do a video on idea's to put in comics

I actually wanted to ask you this for a while: does it take longer for you to draw something for KZread than if you were just drawing it for yourself? That is why I just stopped posting full drawings for my channel, it just took me like two weeks to draw a cover for youtube, whereas I could do it in like 2 or 3 days for myself.

Huge progress in this short time, but you still have to work with proportions and body positions. New Batman is way better than older but body position looks little strange. Something with stomach, legs.

@@joetrudelartwork Anatomy is relatively easy, because there are many books, photos, illustrations how body looks, much harder is drawing from imagination when you have imagined how whole body looks in different portions, from angles etc.

This 2020 Batman is not badly drawn, but you still have problems with proportions. The Batman's head is smaller than necessary, and the posture is not completely satisfying, but I hope that you will find a way not to repeat the mistakes with proportions anymore, just learn from your mistakes.

It’s quite hard to get everything right, and no, I will make these mistakes again quite often 🙈 But I will try to avoid them of course 😅 You can’t learn everything at once, also time is an issue here, I do this channel next to a job and three kids 😅 But I guess you’re right, something‘s a bit off...
