    I don't think anyone is trying to dispute Arslan being the best T7 player. Where it gets complicated is when you confuse that with "best Tekken player of all time", ignoring who's won the most during the lifespan of the whole series. Knee is a much older player who's most likely in the later parts of his professional career while Arslan could very well still be in his first half.

Winning both Evo's and Tekken World Tour. not a lot of players can say they have achieved that. True, most people just shocked that a player from "unknown" and "poor" country suddenly rise to the top, upsetting the "balance" of the world competition scene. Many people doesn't believe that some country just have as good, or even better, local competitive scene as the more "established" region, and can't accept the fact that their favorite player beaten by this "unknown" player in the highest level.

    With the Dominican Republic scene it started over an incident with Caba vs Fuudo. The DR community is very loud. This is very different to Japanese culture and threw Fuudo off his game. Mena justified Cabba's action and told everyone else to "get better friends". People held that against the DR scene. Look at the Twitch comments whenever they're playing. Tekken case all I see mostly Arslan's Twitter antics on why people dislike him and they hold that against the entire Pakistani FGC. I've not followed the Tekken scene much due to the hostility. Hence why I dropped Tekken for Street Fighter. I'm sure more things had happened since. I have seen a lot of racism compared to Street Fighter Both have things in common, actions of a few players and people use that to hold it against a whole scene. @@rosaeruber225

    Yes just because it is difficult here in Pakistan to travel abroad specially in Europe ... It is Arslan who went to Dubai for his passion using his own money and prayers of his mother... And after that first win against Knee in Dubai he got sponsored for his first EVO Japan and the rest is history... Trust me if we were able to compete in the T3 era we would have dominated this game since then..... I am not joking... I considered myself as a pro in T3 winning multiple local T3 tournaments and The last tekken game that i played competitive was T5 I'm going to be 30yo after some days ... And ive seen old T3 and T5 tournaments and i still can beat those pro's in T3 like rayan hart etc... Btw still whenever i play tekken7 with someone i usually win without using any combo just because of movement spacing and general whiffing knowledge.... Plus in our community we do not consider any player to be a good player if he cannot cancel grabs... That is the main reason you will rarely see any Pakistani being grabbed...

    I love Arslan as a player, but I hate Kuni as a character, so I was very happy that he won the finals using Katarina. Big up to CBM too for making it to the finals, even though I was hoping for a rematch between Ulsan and Arslan. The winner's semifinal was probably the most hype match of the whole tournament. Anyways, Arslan definitely deserved the win. There's no doubt that he is the best Tekken 7 player in the world, who did what no one has done before, won both evo and evo jp, as well as TWT in the same year, absolutely amazing achievement! GG and congratulation to Arslan and Pakistan! Can't wait to see what you achieve in Tekken 8!

    I don't doubt that Arslan is the best but I don't call him the geratest. Not to be nice but because he is only a few years deep and I include tenure in the argument. When he's around more I will give him that title for his long term contributions vs someone like Knee who has dedicated basically the last 3 decades to the community. Arslan is undoubtedly great. Hell he is the greatest modern player in terms of results. Now I want to see what he will contribute to the community long term. I do look forward to his future, however. I did hear rumors that Arslan is not even the best back home and that concerns me because if Arslan isn't the best player back home, who is beating his ass for that to be a rumor for the last few years? Either way I can't wait to see more of Arslan's bright future ahead of him.

    When it comes to T7, hands down no questions asked. The second he wins a major tournament in T8, it’s over with. I don’t think one game life is enough when we have goats who’ve dominated for multiple installments

  • @jbb20

    @jbb20

    Arslan has dominated multiple installments, he has started in Tekken 6. Many people make the mistake that just because he has travelled only since 2019 Arslan should be treated like a regular player with humble beginnings. No, he was the best way before 2019, and he dominated the Tekken scene from the minute he showed up. As short as this period may seem to some, he has earned more accolades in this period than many have earned in a lifetime. When someone is the best AND they are the most decorated then there is no argument on who the goat is.
