00:23 underrated but its absolutely worldclass how Werner in this situation makes the defender believe he's gonna go outside (while he already had 2 seconds to pass to havertz) to make sure Havertz wouldn't get annoyed by the defender when he eventually would get the ball. Because of those 2 extra steps havertz had enough time to finish

Ziyech and Mount did this A LOT last season. I think this is the problem with so much depth and competition for playing time. The players get a sniff and they are like hell no I’m not passing so the other guy can score and get the minutes. That left footed long ball from Pulisic to ziyech he had odoi wide open, but ziyech selfishly bungles it instead. Gotta stop doing that.

Bit of a hypocritical comment. Werner has been great but he almost always wastes multiple chances per game rather than simply passing to a teammate in a better position. There's valid criticism against Tammy for some things but not that.

Timo's assist is great because his positioning is excellent, yet he still has the habit of shooting wide, other than straight to the goalkeeper. It's the coaches' job to rectify it, so that Timo can be more effective.

Werner is a great athlete, incredible pace, always running tirelessly and into great positions And areas that threatens the opponents and is key. He also seems likes great person outside football. I can’t hate Werner the person. That I give him credit, everything else that involves actual on the ball footballing ability/skills/technique He’s unbelievable poor 🤦♂️ bad dribbling, bad finishing (he can still score many goals without being a great finisher) bad positioning to stay onside, bad awareness of environment because he likes running face down, bad passing(don’t mention his assist, they’re easy passes except the one against fulham), bad heading, bad using weak foot, bad hold up play, bad long shot, etc. I do think he will score more goals than last season but just scoring more goals doesn’t remove these technical deficiencies in him. I wish him the best ✌️

It is clear that Ziyech was just messing with them. in a decisive match, I see the magician whisper at the ball the moment it touches the ground into the back of the net.
