Arriving At The Cabin In A Blizzard/Cold Night: OFF GRID LOG CABIN
Cierra is back at the cabin and all is back to normal. We are liking the fact that we dont have to go outside to use the bathroom.

I have a tip to make your wood burn slower. Line your stove with bricks of volcanic rock. You wouldn’t need to lug in too many for your purposes. My brother did that, his heating bill went from $300+ a month using a furnace, to $300 or so a year. He loaded up the stove and it’s still burning coals with a toasty house in the morning.

That looks like a real log cabin! Rustic, with a pretty high pitched roof, and a wreath on the entrance door to welcome Christmas! Your cabin reminds me of Daffy Duck's Southern Exposure episode which is the epitome of wild beauty! 👏 The only thing that makes me uneasy is that large, glass window in the living area. I mean, it attracts too much attention from the outside at night and there are hungry wild animals out there that can try to break in to get food. But there are crazy people looking for trouble as well. So, IMHO I would definitely build some kind of window protection like really thick wooden shutters that I can close at night, just to be on the safe side! Anyway, I lived in the Great Lakes, where winters are freezing, until a couple of years ago but I never really had a chance to spend sometime in a log cabin in the middle of the wild but it's still in my agenda! 😊 Thanks for sharing and be safe!

I love your dog running through the snow and being goofy. He’s so adorable!
We built our cabin from scratch also here in central New Mexico. It is built from Ponderosa pine and 40 by 30 feet with 4 levels. It took us seven years to do it but it is so satisfying that we did this. We are off grid and loving it. We have been living in it now for 20 years. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hey Kyle & Cierra, I love your cabin. You guys are awesome. I've been watching a bunch of your videos and I love them all. I live in upstate NY in the Adirondacks and I would love to have a cabin like yours some day. Thanks for everything. Be well and stay safe!!!!

It’s beautiful to see a dog enjoying himself so much!
New subscriber and I take my hat off to you for what you've accomplished thus far. More people need to gain the knowledge of self reliance and sustainablility in their lives. Most of the new generation don't understand how to maintain life if the grid went down and that's very sad. Thank you for showing people the way my friend.

your dog is adorable and fun-loving I can tell the dog just loves to go all over the place and by the way he's not an oddball or goofball the beautiful dog I love your cabin and I love the way you live thank God I'm living that way to
That looks like a real log cabin!
Love the clips of the dog. We had a Springer Spaniel back when our son (now in his 50's) was little. Best family dogs in the world.
It is wonderful to be young, enjoy every minute! Great video thanks
I miss the old wooden house we used to live in when I was a kid. Me and my grandparents used to cut wood and fight the cold. We had snow every year but not that much unfortunately

Funny story about the marking tape on your corners. My first year i went around placing thermometers on my trees and hanging various things up. When the snow melted everything was 9 feet up the trees. I am 5"6. Had to bring out the ladder and take things down to manageable level. Hope you guys are well. Jason & Theresa.

haha I know I couldn't believe it in the spring it looked so funny. Looked like a 10ft tall guy marked the trail. I'm 5'8 so I'm pretty vertically challenged as well.
If you stand 2 or 3 logs up inside a tire you can get several whacks with the ax before you have to readjust the wood. Splitting goes much faster.
Wine over beer...Hell yeah, Wine is way better than beer. Nice place. Go Chargers!
Something about snow that make this video magical. I find peace in nature.
