South Africa welcomes the decision by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court seek arrest warrants for the Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Israel and three leaders of Hamas for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute of the ICC within the context of the present conflict in Gaza. South Africa says the law must be applied equally to all in order to uphold the international rule of law, ensure accountability for those that commit heinous crimes and protect the rights of victims. Everyone has a right to defend themselves but that right is limited in scope and scale as determined by international humanitarian law.

Globally the legal system is a slow process.. hence it should not be the primary avenue but in a world with idiots at the helm of the 1st world.. this is the primary. Another reason the world order will be changed
The question is will ICC really do the job of delivering justice to the victims, the Palestine people or it's just for TV shows and wound licking strategy? ICC had no other choices but to issue arrest warrants... The alleged war crimes activities of Netanyahu , defense Minister and the Israel IDF are too obvious with evidence on every Media platform and even homes. Let's hope justice will be done ...the world awaits for justice to prevail though the heavens may fall, let justice prevail..

Have to see if the arrest arrest is issued and the icj case. At the end of the day the icc in combo with icj may make remedial actions but the political system via UN enforces. I don’t see enforcement working without complicity of the west being brought to the fore.
ICC must also evaluate the role of ANC in supporting HAMAS.
