Some interesting techniques, I was wondering why you weren’t using the arranger track but I see the logic of using the marker track instead. A well presented video, obviously every song writer has a slightly different approach but I tend to end up working this way. Cheers Dave

Cheers Dave! Yeah you could definitely use the arranger track as well, both work!

Great video! Do you have any advice on licensing/selling this type of music to publishers/library music marketplaces? Is there any websites or particular publishers you would recommend? Thank you!

What do you usually plan for verse and chorus? 16 bars?

This is off topic ..but if I don't ask now I'll forget to ask later or look it up.. So..Do you know how to set the full length of the mixer channels the given track colour? I'm sure I've seen it on someone's setup and I'm noticing on cubase 13 that I'm getting lost on my mixer page a lot easier with projects that have a large number of channels, the colour bar is just too small once I've minimised the channels to their super skinny setting.

Very cool video, to show your process and the way you quickly use Cubase is great. How do you change zoom views so fast? (I mean, I know I can make a shortcut for almost anything **almost**, but even then, it looks like you just jump into the exact view you need. How?? THAT would be a GREAT video too)

I use the Zoom to selection shortcut often but I think what you’re looking at here is video editing, it’s a lot of information so I had to keep the editing pretty tight. It feels seamless but there’s lots of cuts to keep it moving along swiftly.

It is illegal to mention a "Purple Child" preset without giving great praise to Deep Purple for their epic song Child in Time ! Half joking of course but everyone should hear this song at least once, real music with strong vibes.

Sorry but this is a misrepresentation of song structure/development trying to mix and match lego blocks of unconnected audio segments in such a way with random edits. This is NOT how songs or music is created - not even close.
