Arrangement of Dust Extraction System in the workshop
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I show the process of setting up my workshop with a dust extraction system. In my workshop I used chip and dust extraction unit from Metabo, which is a budget mobile model SPA 1200. But it also removes a lot of dust from the dust bag. So I decided to arrange for it a stationary place and adjust the system of branches to my needs. If necessary, I will set up additional connections. I made an airtight cabinet earlier. It was made from old steel angles and pieces of OSB I found at home. I used plexiglass for the door.
This Arrangement of Dust Extraction System made my work much easier in my workshop, I am happy with the result.
Thanks everyone for watching!

Thank you Lynn for your support! Every Ukrainian has the same feelings today! We know that Canadians are our true friends. Many Ukrainians once fled the Soviet Union to Canada. My relatives also emigrated to Canada a long time ago. Today is another act of Russian aggression against Ukraine, our century-old war. They will not break us, we believe we will win!

nice video, as always! is the first time that I see your method of planting potatoes. It is nice that you teach your children that vegetables do not grow on the supermarket's shelves, but in the field, under the sun. I do the same as you do, at our house in the country side (growing vegetables and fruits), even the fact that you mix the saw dust into the soil. Keep it up, and may God keep you all safe.

I hard piped my system several years ago and built a closet for the dust collection system also. Made things so much easier but the best part to me was the noise reduction. Great video and the best part was the quality control dept. out planting a garden. That's so great you are giving them the skills to survive in this world. The most important thing and also the simplest thing in this world to be able to survive is being able to find water and being able to grow food. Most people can't plant a simple seed and make things grow. It's not as simple as just throwing the seed in the ground either. God Bless and take care.
I hope all is well with you. I enjoy watching your videos, and your work is second to none. All our prayers are with you, your family, and your fellow citizens.

Hi! I like the casing you have built, the only extra i would do is an extracting fan towards the outside. I see that you have tested the suction power after extending the extractor's hose, but that will decrease it's lifespan. I like very much the fact that you integrated the wood dust and chips into your garden! 👌👍
Nice work! Please continue to keep you and yours safe! ❤️🌻

What a bad ass... war is at his doorsteps and he builds a dust collection system for his shop. Two things I just found out recently that you probably already know... 1) To avoid the risk of fire dust collection systems should be grounded to prevent static build up. Stumpy Nubs has a recent video about this 2) Certain species of wood can actually be harmful to grass, not sure how they work as a mulch mixture. Great work as always, stay safe!

Thank you for your support! I have a lot of steel fasteners that should remove static from plastic pipes. During the tests I have not seen any signs of statics. I will connect the ground wire if needed. I use hardwood sawdust only as a soil loosener for gardening, my parents asked me to do it, I'm not an expert on this! I hope it works! ;)

@@homemadeinlviv8041 Nice! I'm definitely no expert, but I swear I'm a human lightning rod. At certain times in the year when I put my key in the lock I see a small spark. As for the wood, I think whatever you used should be just fine, but I saw in a Blacktail Studios video recently that black walnut can be harmful. Again, no expert on the matter. All the best!

Excellent job on the DIY dust system. My wife and I pray often for your country to be victorious over the Russian aggressors and that the Holy Spirit moves through your country bringing salvation to many. I wish we had a stronger President who would have come to your aid sooner. This wouldn't have happened with strong leadership. I can't get rid of a feeling that this arrangement has a downside if your workshop is heated. By making this extractor vent dusty air outdoors, you are essentially sucking out heat from your workshop. In winter this will make your workshop a very cold place to be. A good filtration system cleans up air but preserves the heat!
@homemadeinlviv8041

This is a simple way, better than putting extra filters to clean fine dust.
Nice design! I wonder, since it vents to the outside, if you could eliminate the bag filter which would increase the suction by quite a bit. Best of luck to you!
