IPS vs ARMY | Indian Police Service vs Indian Army Fauji
The Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army,[3] and its professional head is the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), who is a four-star general. Two officers have been conferred with the rank of field marshal, a five-star rank, which is a ceremonial position of great honour. The Indian Army was formed in 1895 alongside the long established presidency armies of the East India Company, which too were absorbed into it in 1903. The princely states had their own armies, which were merged into the national army after independence. The units and regiments of the Indian Army have diverse histories and have participated in several battles and campaigns around the world, earning many battle and theatre honours before and after Independence.[4]
The primary mission of the Indian Army is to ensure national security and national unity, to defend the nation from external aggression and internal threats, and to maintain peace and security within its borders. It conducts humanitarian rescue operations during natural calamities and other disturbances, such as Operation Surya Hope, and can also be requisitioned by the government to cope with internal threats. It is a major component of national power, alongside the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force.[5] The army has been involved in four wars with neighbouring Pakistan and one with China. Other major operations undertaken by the army include Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, and Operation Cactus. The army has conducted large peacetime exercises such as Operation Brasstacks and Exercise Shoorveer, and it has also been an active participant in numerous United Nations peacekeeping missions, including those in Cyprus, Lebanon, Congo, Angola, Cambodia, Vietnam, Namibia, El Salvador, Liberia, Mozambique, South Sudan, and Somalia.
The Indian Army is operationally and geographically divided into seven commands, with the basic field formation being a division. Below the division level are permanent regiments that are responsible for their own recruiting and training. The army is an all-volunteer force and comprises more than 80% of the country's active defence personnel. It is the largest standing army in the world,[6] with 1,237,117[7][8] active troops and 960,000 reserve troops.[9][10] The army has embarked on an infantry modernisation program known as Futuristic Infantry Soldier As a System (F-INSAS), and is also upgrading and acquiring new assets for its armoured, artillery, and aviation branches
The Indian Police Service (abbr. IPS) is a central civil service under the All India Services. It replaced the Indian Imperial Police in 1948, a year after India became independent from the British Raj.
Along with the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Forest Service (IFS), the IPS is one of the All India Services[3] - its officers are employed by both the Union Government and the individual states.
The service commands and provides leadership to State police forces and Union territories' police forces, Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, SSB, CRPF, CISF, and ITBP), the National Security Guards (NSG), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), Special Protection Group (SPG), National Investigative Agency (NIA) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Great to see that the bold, passionate and fearless Guardians of the Country are rightly recognized and praised in this video. There's actually no comparison between the Army and IPS. For an IAS/IPS Officer, posting at a city or town of J&K in an AC room will be a hard posting and drawing huge allowance in the name of Risk and Hardship allowance. For an Army Officer such a posting would be a peace/ easy posting, and a hardship posting will be the one at a high altitude chilling cold mountain for which he will be drawing a meager allowance. Therefore the other cadre wouldn't exactly know what it's like a tough life and hence the toughness, hardships, power, strength and strong willpower of a defence personnel is in no comparison to any cadre (IAS/ IPS) of the country. They just don't bend down in front of anyone. Sar katega par jhukega nahin. Jai Hind, Jai Jawan 🇮🇳

@@drhemantjoshi5585 Few Army Ranks are unfortunately still under the pressure of State Governments Sir, During elections State Governments use Army during their Political campaign's. I was returning from my college and a campaign was going on where even an Ambulance had to make a U Turn to avoid being stuck in traffic for more than an hour. I was so frightened by what I saw but I just went to one of the Army personnel and asked them Why do you work for such politicians?. He politely answered that they don't even know our state's language but they are being posted without any prior Information and have been told that it was for the security of the Minister.

Reason : The Army soldier is daily doing military training.If something goes wrong,the soldier will directly shoot in head.The Army soldier can't do duty in civil.Only during curfew Army is used. Even BSF can't do duty in civil.Because they directly shoot regularly on head of enemy in border.

Defence Minister has an authority over Army forces, and in the name of riots our government has been doing campaign's with Army forces with senior officer's in it, Even then he dares to insult Army forces living in our State by threatening to cut Electricity and water all around the military area in Secunderabad. After the partition it's just worse, He couldn't arrange a proper mic during Ivanka Trump's visit to Hyderabad, yet he claims Telangana to be the World's no.1 Startup Hub. Most of the bridges or boardings in the state have a picture of either his Dad's, His or the claim he makes.

The Army is an armed force , they have to deal with enemies and protect the country against them . The Police is a civil force , they have to protect the citizens of India . Both the forces are needed for the progress and development of a nation , these forces have a huge contribution for a fully developed country. Both the forces manages their duties effectively . That's what makes them so important and special . There is only differences between them but no comparisons. We shall be proud of our Indian Defence Force and honest Police Force . We citizens are always thankful for them and proud to be an Indian .
