Played this on ps1. I remember that cemenetry level was so scary to me, and when spider queen showed up Im almost shat myself

That is literally how far I got in the game before I stopped playing.

People used to see hoover as useless and coward but it actually takes a lot of balls and head to do his job, ask any on the rangers, disarming explosives is tough

After growing up I see now it was less fear and more paranoia from like ptsd. But yeah Hoover was my dude anybody who hurt him would get lit up 🤣 him and obviously Vikki 😌😏

I hope that, if they ever revive the Army Men Series, that Sarges War becomes non canon.

@pizzaman it’s not even because it’s a terrible game or whatever, but the fact that sarges squad died was a big no no for me, I get it they were trying to make the franchise more “edgy” but still man it had a perfect blend of that stuff in of itself already.

Same, this and Air Attack 2 which was a solid game.

That menu music I remember so vividly bursting my young eardrums

Way back when I played this classic, I found an easter egg on the pool ball table in the campaign. I should add this was in the ps2 version. So right before the end of the mission with all the enemies dead, you were able to go back to the spawn area and jump onto one of the wooden barriers on the table near some stairs if I recall correctly. If you kept walking on the barriers across the map eventually you'd reach a boxing ring with vikki and bridget both standing in there. Vikki had a shotgun and bridgett had a flamethrower. If you jumped in the ring they'd kill you and you'd lose but if you killed one of them you'd lose as well. You'd also hear the zombie sounds as you got closer. Pretty freakin weird but I've never heard if anyone else found that as well. My brother and I were shook. It seemed so thought out but so creepy. I'll have to get my ps2 fixed and find it again. If I can remember how lol

Oh wow. That’s a blast from the past. Yeah I found that too. It confused me as a kid as I didn’t understand the concept of Easter eggs and I thought it was part of the story. 😅 Looking back I wonder if it was something they built for the story, decided not to use and left it in for the lols

I don't expect anybody to believe me, and I'm not even trying to CONVINCE anyone, but... From THE MOMENT that the wimpy tan soldier FIRST appeared (back in AMS'sH1, when he told Plastro that Sarge had captured the blue spy and discovered the portal and then Plastro punched him in a fit of anger), I KNEW that the soldier would eventually lead to Plastro's downfall and then BAM!...he causes the "tilt" in the pinball machine level at the end of AMS'sH2. When that cutscene played out, I threw my controller down, jumped out of my chair and screamed "I KNEW IT!!" over and over. My upstairs neighbor even COMPLAINED to the landlord about how loud I screamed

I can remember renting this as a kid from blockbuster..

I'm a little disappointed that Tannenburg didn't play a bigger part in this story. And that you never hear anyone talk during gameplay. But I am at least glad Sarge's squad mates actually help him out this time, instead of just getting captured and needing rescue. Also, does Vikki ever actually open her jaw when she speaks? It seems like she just moves her lips, while keeping her teeth clenched shut. You certainly don't ever see Sarge or any other characters do that when they speak.

Captain William Blade deserved more protagonism in this game. He saved the day several times.

True story when I was in my first year of highschool one of my teachers actually gave me this game along with gran Turismo 4 and mummy return of the dragon emperor as a birthday gift no joke

I played the 1st Army Men, and I played a bit of a second one that didn't seem as good...( Gimme a break it's been a long time, I was 41 when I first started playing video games. Couldn't wait to start my second childhood.) I did play Sarge I, But I missed out on II. When video games first started, I knew in my heart that this was what was missing in my toy universe imagination as a kid in the late 50's and early 60's. All the sex, drugs and r&r in later 60's and 70's kept me occupied, but...I still love these video games and a lot of the newer ones...It's been a hell of ride...

I wish there were more about Grey and Red nations. If i am not wrong these are the nations: Green Tan Blue (One of the major countries) Grey (Can be seen in AM SH 1 and 2 ? ) Red (Rarely seen..) Orange (Only in army men rts?) Purple (Blue puppet state a purple spy is seen on a trailer.)

The Greys would probably be the Tan's allies. The Reds would probably be the Green's allies. The Reds would probably be like the British, and the Greys would be either the Chinese or some South American dictatorship.

reminds me of the infamous overheating weapons bug in mass effect 1. i've experienced the worst moment of the bug, where all of shepard's weapon OVERHEATED PERMANENTLY. glad they switched to ammo clip system in ME 2 & 3.

bro i got this game along with alot more at a yard sale, my dad bought them for me and i played this game, i clearly remember it because its so nostalgic dude, i love the game, i love the concept and the maps are always huge representations because they are green little army men

I ever wondered why Sarge sometimes quote un spanish... Now I see he looks more like a Vietnam soldier that WW2 soldier, and plastro looks more like a latino dictator than a european one, am I wrong?

the Plasystation version of this game I have is nothing like this o: The model textures have different textures (less contrast), in fact the whole game is lighter on my version. The healthbars only show sarge's health on my version. Your gun can't overheat on the version I have. Also where's the refrigerator level? After level 1, you go right to the freezer level o: I am confused.

wow....and they wonder why they went bankrupt! The first 3 games (AM,AM2, AM Toys in Space) are a great set, but this mode was very sloppy and cheaply made. They were using better graphics nearly 10 years previous!
