You know, one thing I always liked about Air Attack over Air Attack II was that you regularly had at least some back up. You weren't a lone wolf going in all the time, you were part of a combined arms force. The key part, sure, but a part none-the-less and it was far more immersive than all the loner missions with at best a few turret towers guarding the end point like some levels had.

There were four superweapons in four different missions which you have for backup. The Edgar Eggplant, the Bulldozer (driven by Sarge), Headless Mary, and Baseball Bob.

its why i like the sarges heroes that had allies who fought- made it more war like idk I enjoyed going so far out of my way to protect those dudes lol

I feel like this game had more fans than critics, the series wasn't THAT bad..

I’ve been looking for this game for years!! Couldn’t remember the name and had vague memories of it, watching this made me remember a big part of my childhood. Now looking back as a child I never got past the second mission but it was still fascinating and I played for hours.

That ants mission was so much harder playing it as a kid lol

Fax that was the hardest mission in the game, I still have vivid nightmares til this day. Woke up in the night thinking how did I beat it again? Smh and now here I am.

@@philbanks1745 if you think the ant mission was hard, then that tells me you never got to the last level. That shit was beyond hard to do and I think it actually involved a little bit of rng luck. But the ant mission was hard though I ain’t gon front.

Played this game at my neighbors house when I was young. Never remembered the name of it but have always had vivid images of the green helicopter and the bug level. Glad to know the name of it. Definitely picking a copy up. Edit: thanks for the instant nostalgia you have given so many

these army men games, Army Men 2, Toys in Space, Sarge's Heroes, Air Attack, and World at War were the best out of the series that had some hit or miss entries.

I just beat this game today (9-21-20). Feels good to beat it after I haven't played it in 20 years. Good and fun game.

I remember when I was a kid, I found this bug out where you could produce 200+ green helo’s. That would spawn and aid in killing any tan lol but it got to a point where there were too many of them and either 1. The game would crash, or 2. They would fly around in that rectangular planter and do nothing lol

I remember when this game came out. I wrote 3DO a letter about making a RTS game. A few years later a Army Men RTS game came out, and I've always wondered. This game in particular just made me think man, would be cool if they made an Army Men RTS when seeing the top down battles on this game. lol

At the last mission 20 years ago, my cousin and I kept losing trying to destroy all the batteries. On fourth time we decided to just do an all out brute force Apache attack with lasers and multiple missiles on the robot... it worked! 😂 Good times, good times.

one of the hardest mission i was too afraid to do as a kid back then was the picnic when dealing with ants. i had no strategic experience of problem solving when it came to games yet, i barley get through Jabuu Jabuu belly in Ocarina of time or not knowing how to get in Windfall temple.

Dude this game was the best. Played it every day to try to beat that damn scientist mission!

Senior year in high school. God the hours I spent playing this. That final boss battle will stick with me forever.

I so loved these Games. They were brilliant.

Man this takes me back...

The ant mission Was hard. But what made it easy is delivering the food from your base to the nearest tan base. Saves time and ammo.

Except that Last 16th Mission I have beaten the whole Game back in the Day, loved it.

Saucer atack! and teddy! the best missions!

I'm never going to get over how they strapped a computer guidance system to a bottle rocket.

The final level's description is "Good luck!!!!!... You'll need it!" My brother and I played the N64 version and we could never beat it.

The backgrounds are almost too vibrant and well detailed for an early 3D game, but nonetheless these kinds of toy army games were always a treat to romp through as far as shooters went back then.

Man, crazy to think you can beat the whole game in under 2 hours whereas most games take weeks to beat

When I first tried playing the game, I could not make it past the ants stage, those move a lil bit too fast.

This bring me back to Christmas as a kid. Love me some CHINOOOK. Also general plastro sounds suspiciously like wario
