The Army Men games are some of my favorite.

This game was the GOAT

That music in the church level is pretty intense for a game about toy soldiers targeted towards a younger audience. I love it though lol. Alot of memories of this game, Sarge's hero's, and land sea and air. Great playthrough man.

This game was my childhood. And it was called: Lock N Load.. This game was fun to play and if there is something that this game is good at teaching you is that patience and not going in guns blazing levels of reckless is somewhat key to victory.. If there was a time I hated a level it was the tank only mission in the desert.. Not just because of dying a lot but because of the tanks as I still struggled with the controls then.. It's not like Halo levels of simple.. Fiddly to say the least but got to admit.. Tomb Runner? Got to admit that I was terrified of the snakes breathing fire, the floors made no sense to me and I cheesed that by baiting the traps and running through it.. The four lions? I think I cleared that by accident and oddly enough I never hated it as much.. Chameleon was definitely the most unnerving one as like Cavern Destruction that required stealth but this to a whole new level and I wasn't sure what to use TNT with so I blew up random and failed plenty Night Strike. begrudgingly I hate doing it but at the same time Coolest mission with the music but god damn was I confused a lot in that mission and I lost repeatedly with that one; especially the co op one as well and I didn't know you could switch gunners top to bottom either and that would've been way less harder and probably more confusing if I knew that.. That being said.. It did defence against dogfighting just right for it's time.. Actually Submarine battles was definitely the most terrifying one because not just because the controls being awkward but there is just not much you can see in the deep ocean.. and I don't even remember clearing that one much.. I never knew any of these Easter eggs existed and that is actually pretty cool as well.. least some of the developers had some sense of humour..

You might notice a pattern here and you would be right. It took 6 days to create and now it's here: new and refined video of Final Front installment in the World War series. If you're following for quite a while you'll know why I'm re-doing these AM titles. For those that don't - the answer is both the magic of overclocking and widescreen hacking. I find that especially these titles benefit from both and scale almost perfectly. What are the improvements when compared to the original video? -Improved pacing, better tactics and more exploration -Higher Resolution and Anti-Aliasing -Dramatically higher framerate -Partial no damage (for some levels / segments) -Widescreen hack -Easter Eggs included after the credits Extra video about Co-Op levels will be made eventually, whenever I find the partner to do it with. I see my whole childhood coming back. No surprise I ended up becoming an Army Man myself.

This game truly had a WWII feel combined with an Indiana Jones feel

that temple mission was pretty creepy.

Amazing

These games would be perfect for Android adaption, low poly, basic controls.

@@DfactorLongplays yeah when I played this game way back then, I discovered how to get out of bounds. Unfortunately, I no longer know the methods anymore, but I remember doing it. But ive seen very interesting things.

The sequel to World War / Operation Meltdown was "World War - Land, Sea, Air". This one is the next after that.

Nowadays it's Beetle HW PSX in RetroArch. When this video was made it was ePSXe, but there's no reason to use it anymore. If you're not familiar with software then you can start with DuckStation.

Sarge’s heroes is laumched 1 year before this and have better graphics

World War and Sarge's Heroes have completely different artstyles. SH is cartoonish, while WW is more realistic. Purely from a technical standpoint WW pushed PS1 hardware even harder than SH. I'm not sure if they're running on the same engine, perhaps, it might be the same one, but a lot of mechanics and even the UI is and feels different.

Is there any genuine strategy for that submarine level? I passed it eventually but oh my god it’s WORSE than I remember, how the fuck did that pass the beta test (Assuming there was a quick level test)? 😜

@@pistolbobcat5374 The only difficult mission is the bomber mission in air, where you have to fend off attacking planes. That one is the real problem, the rest is easy in comparison.

@@DfactorLongplays niiice. Would you recommend I seek out a ps1 copy of air attack 2? I have the PS2 but never liked it for some reason, I feel the graphics are more drab/colourless in those PS2 ports after watching your run of the games. 😂

@@pistolbobcat5374 Depends if you can find a good deal. Each version is different in a way, so it's going to be a different experience. I'm most familiar with PS1 versions.
