    Half of Devon's strategy is mentally defeating his opponent by the first match ("I'm waaaay to strong for you, Jerry!")

    And in a match he probably would feel stronger in a way.. Even if you know he's not. But the mind games are always fun.

    This is marvelous! Sooo much technic to it, a different philosophy on how to see armwrestling which is also super effective. So as you Blue, take and put a lot of Devons tricks in your play, let as all embrace this new generation of arm wrestlers coming, who inspired by it will make it a passive sport. No big hits, no aggressions, attacks... Veeery interesting.. Looking forward to it... clap clap clap..

  • @ryanbluebowen

    @ryanbluebowen

    I'm a little confused...are you a fan or hater of Devon Larratt Style Armwrestling? Hits certainly still exist with this style....shorter armed pullers can't use this method as effectively as long armed pullers.... so hits are still necessary. But training this way certainly gives you immense hand awareness

    Pardon, my langauge mistakes.. I have huge respect for Devon, he is a mastermind. What makes the sport interesting though is both him, and his sometimes bigger and almost always stronger opponents. They come full force with the ''traditional'' arm wrestling force on the table.. Now what i am afraid happening is Devon, been probably the most popular arm wrestler now, changing the approach to the whole game. He is a genius for coming up with this but how interesting would it be, seeing a match of Devon against '' new Devon''...

  • @stefpatras

    @stefpatras

    Hits exist in this style? Awh you mean those at 4th round + after the opponent has been exhausted?... One more thing, i saw the interview, Larratt, he always counts his words and speaks well structured and with arguments but sorry, its both technic and endurance, equally important. He has been arm wrestling with Brzenk, Lupkes... Is he claiming that he is that much more advanced from them? Really?....

    That makes a lot of sense.. like a constriction method (snakie). Makes sense why his opponent is more out of energy after it seems like Devon should be more out of energy via fighting back that much.. but really he's just filling the gaps and using static holds, which doesn't use as much energy as being on the attack does. Then he can finish them off, where as they struggle a lot more to finish him off. Somethin' like that.

    It most certainly is. As you say, this style of practice is the foundation of the way Devon moves. The intricacies of the sport go deeper and deeper indeed. You could analyse any one particular movement of Devon's and find many, hard and soft counters, traps, dead spaces and deceptions that he is instinctively applying to his opponent. I truly believe he is the leading Armwrestler in the planet when it comes to mastery of the sport

    The only thing I disagree with is it seems like you're suggesting that Devon doesn't have superior endurance to most people or armwrestlers. Devon's actual stamina had a lot to do with it and what you're talking about greatly complements that. Devon used to do a lot of running apparently, and unfortunately he stopped.

    Devon Larratt wins through combination of elbow lock, false starts and trying to gain the position on grip lol. If you try _Devons techniques_ you'll get fouled out of any serious match. Having an arm that doesn't straighten and using it to tire out opponents isn't really _endurance,_ is it?
