Armaguard fights to stay afloat as cash use drops
Cash transport company Armaguard has received a $10 million lifeline from its parent company Linfox as the firm struggles to stay afloat due to the dramatic decline in cash use.
Coles recently announced plans to restrict cash withdrawals over the Easter weekend amid fears Armaguard could go under but has resumed cash deliveries.
The major supermarket reduced its cash-out limit from $400 to $200 amid the risk that Armaguard could reduce services over the Easter long weekend.
Herald Sun business commentator Terry McCrann joined Sky News host Steve Price to discuss the decline in cash use and whether or not Australia would go cashless at some point.
Mr McCrann said it would be a "serious error" if the country decided to go cashless.
"It's not just the crooks who want to store $100 notes, individuals should always keep cash on hand," he said.

Cash is king and always will be

Only if we can prevent the bank boys and girls to refuse handling it. Cash and its transport is utility type business which needs to be regulated like all monopolies.
If one million Australian employers commence paying all staff in gold and silver coins, Armagaurd will be back, stronger than ever before!

Armaguard is now a monopoly and a utility. We used to live well with regulated utilities. Did you see the ex-minister, now Rex Airlines guy, who said that giving up on the regulations of airports was a mistake? Apparently someone made too much hay with deregulated airports?!
Cash is king.
The final stages of their plans are underway
Physical Cash is important! Digital cash can be seized or frozen and doesn't work if the power or internet goes out or your phone is lost or stolen.
I use cash as often as I can, they’re making it hard though as there’s next to no bank ATM’s around. I refuse to pay the fees.

Texas, one of the most conservative states in USA literally has an annual land tax instead of stamp duty. If it's good for them why not for Victoria?

Fox is probably being compensated handsomely to make it " happen".
Banks, who gouge us to make Billion$ in profit should be forced to pay an Armaguard tax to make sure we keep cash.
Armaguard should be converted into a food delivery company .

Food will be the new gold in the near future.
That is good as cash is about to be a thing of the past now that the Digital ID and CBDCs are about to be introduced along with the social credit scoring system.

time to start a cash transport business
They all report it as if only cash has a cost. Cashless has the cost for softwares, techies, and cyber insurances. They leave these out and I call that a skewed discussion.
