Game Introduction
This game has a robotic arm that simulates the strength and pressure of the computer-controlled opponent who appears on the screen. A cushion is provided to rest your elbow on as you place your grip on the arm. There is also a grip-stick to hold onto for leverage as you arm-wrestle.
The game has nine different opponents to choose from, each with their own profession, nationality and taunt:
Trixie - a female bodybuilder from Russia - "Never underestimate a woman!"
Chang - a street performer from Taiwan - "Anytime you are ready!"
Atlas - the Prince of Planet "Amusement" from the Universe - "Give it your best shot!"
Turk - a retired soldier from Egypt - "You cannot beat me!"
Duke - an ex-champion professional boxer from The U.S.A. - "Play fair!"
The Rock - a fast-footed wrestler from England - "I'm gonna crush you!"
Goliath - a bodybuilder from France - "I will not lose!"
Shibayama - the strongest sumo-wrestler from Japan - "Say goodbye before you die!"
Specks - a Robo-Arm-Wrestler from The U.S.A. - "No way!"
Game Play
Before you begin a game, you must use the Select buttons to choose the opponent that you would like to challenge. In each game you compete in two matches. If you beat the first opponent, you must take on the next higher-ranking opponent. For instance, if you choose Trixie to be your first opponent, your next opponent will be Chang, or, if you choose your first opponent to be Chang, your next opponent will be Atlas. If you choose Specks as your first opponent and you beat him, you will have to face him again, except in the second round he will be colored pink instead of silver.
Before each match begins, wait for the referee to say "Ready! Go!" and then you must try to pin your opponent's arm down for the count of three before time is up. If you succeed you will win and you can go to the second match. If your opponent pins you down for a three count, you will lose. However, you will get one rematch against the same opponent. In the rematch, whether you win, lose or draw, the game ends.
If time runs out before either of you can make a pin, if you were closer to pinning your opponent, you will win, but if you were closer to being pinned, you will lose. If you and your opponent both have your arms in the center, the match will be declared a draw.
If you win both of your matches, you will get a bonus game where the computer will test your strength. You will have to push and press down on the robotic arm as hard as you can with as much strength as you have within a certain time limit. When time is up, the screen will give the results of how many pounds of pressure you have managed to apply and then the game is over.
