I had the honor and pleasure to play this arcade game. It is insanely fun and addicting to play. I’m getting better each time I play and so far I’ve gotten to Round 8. Gonna keep playing it until I complete the first loop or reach the last round.

Man the sound effects are so addictive to listen to!

The ridiculously loud noise when Mac(?) pulls off APE III's arm always gets me laughing.

Man I loved this game. Thanks for the memories. I laughed pretty hard the first time I saw someone pull that mask off

Calling it now, Ape III will be a playable character in ARMS.

sadly, you were incorrect hopefully they add it as a dlc character but they probably won't since this was a one-off and i'm pretty sure nintendo just forgot about it

One of the only references to the game was actually made in the reboot version of Punch Out!! for Wii as a comment Doc can make when fighting Bald Bull. I haven't seen it come up since, though I wouldn't be surprised if it got some nod in a Warioware game, they loved to reference obscure early Nintendo stuff.

@@MeesterTweester Yeah it probably hasn't been referenced since but Doc does reference it. It's one of his possible lines he says between rounds in the 2009 version and he can say it during the Contender or Title Defense version of the fight.

I remember Disneyland had this in their arcade near space mountain.

This is the one. You could get the game like this, as a conversion kit for Punch Out, or as a standalone cabinet that was sit-down and had the mechanical arm.

I've never seen this in the arcade, but it's a dream to play it in arcade form one day. I have beaten the first set of 5 characters on MAME, but it's just not the same.

Europe>France>French riviera>Juan les pins pinede. we had this luck to play the game near 1990, THE Attraction of the place, so incredible, will never forget the ambiance around

Additional comment: If you get to Round 20, the game will basically kick you off and say they have no money

Hey thanks for the comment! Arm Wrestling is a crazy, awesome game. There was not a specific cabinet made. It was sold only as a kit that would upgrade a Punch-Out cabinet to AW. The Kit included a complete new control panel, including the new joystick, a new marquee, the PCB, and Yes: A new decal for the side of the Cab.

Theres also new 2022 PC arm wrestling game called, Arm Wrestling Reborn.

Real fun idea.

Good looking game. Even though the game was made in 1985, the graphics could still hold it's own in 2016.

Ah, okay! I didn’t remember the sides of the cabinet being that shape or having that artwork on the inside, but looking at another picture, I do see it now. Awesome collection by the way, especially the Arm Wrestling and Quantum! I have never seen a Quantum cabinet with my own eyes, but have seen and played the rest of the ones you listed on original cabinets.

Man... I've seen an actual arm wrestling game (where you have to push an arm to the other side or stalemate it in the middle) but this looks wacky as hell.

If anything, now we have proof that the speech stutter when unmasking Bald Bull is NOT an emulation error. It happens on original hardware too. Still sounds awful, though. Why do that on purpose? "Bal-Ba-Bal-Ba-BALD BULL!"

It looks like they used a lot of code from Punch-out! Also Mask X looks like Bald Bull from Punch-Out!

I play it in emulator with saves and I'm going for the round 15 ... I can not beat kabuki for the third time, it's the strategy but you have less than 1/4 of a second to do it and it's impossible, even with saves do not happen there .... It does not have logic that kabuki is more difficult than fran jr ... it is like glass joe that soon becomes stronger than mr sadman ..... a wimp .... he becomes stronger than a boxer ... wow

DatGameh Punch-Out!! is easy enough to find. I've seen several around within 3 states even nowadays. I've seen one in Louisville, KY, one in Brookfield, IL, one in Huntington, WV, and one somewhere in Ohio that I saw in a pic. And that's just in the past 2 years. If you look around you can find them, but Super Punch-Out!! is far less frequently seen. I've only ever seen two of them in my life, the most recent being the weekend before last in Goodlettsville, TN. Arm Wrestling would be even harder to find, and I think I'm stating the obvious when I say I have never seen one of them in arcade form.

This is lousy, it can never beat a game with an actual arm to wrestle with.
