I was only 4 years old at the time, but I remember growing up hearing my dad talk about this game. I still have some Arkansas memorabilia like glass Coke bottles and hats that say “ ‘94 National Champs” with the hog logo on them. Now I’m 32 and Arkansas has another dang good team under Eric Musselman. Man, it would be awesome if they won it all again in the near future.

That '94 run by Duke is still one of Mike Krzyzewski's single most elite coaching jobs! When u talk about getting the max out of a team, he got it from that team in spades! I'm a die-hard Duke fan (have been since '81-'82) and I'll say this - I'm probably as proud of that squad as I am of their five national champions! Truly, we had no business advancing as far as we did and I don't say that often! '94 Duke was an overachievement! One super world class college player plus a collection! Hill was the best all-around player in the country but Duke's lack of depth ended up showing down the stretch of that final; they we're gassed! But I'll never forget what they gave of themselves and gave a superb Arkansas team a run for it's money

No way I could have been disappointed as far as that team went! The oddest and best outcome was the fact that the Tar Holes beat us by double digits both times that season and yet they couldn't even get out of the second round against a much compared inferior opponent whom they took way too lightly in BC! We were a better TEAM than the Tar Holes were in '94 when it mattered though! That's always the sweetest

Coach K did not allow Grant to be Grant Hill. Hill was to unselfish and Coach K handcuffed Hill at times. Duke should have won this game going away by 10+. This Arkansas team was really not that good.

Lol you trolling? This Arkansas team was amazing. Look at their schedule and who all they beat and how badly they beat them. Virtually the same team went back to the championship the following year.

Jeff Capel, Antonio Lang and Cherokee Parks all had the tournament of their lives and without Grant that wouldn't have been possible! It was by far the best basketball those three played while at Duke

The last time Duke ever played the scrappy underdog role in the tournament. Probably their weakest roster to ever reach a championship game.

Duke was favored in this game by the way the great coach k . Against Nolan Richardson and his what they called n ball at the time. Even though Kentucky was running the same press the exact same press as Arkansas was running. Kentucky is a called pressure defense. Nolan Richardson never gets the credit he deserves because of how his career ended up but trust me into the final four Arkansas was considered the underdog because they didn't believe that coach Richardson was on the same level as the other coaches that were in the final four.

If beck has to shoot his own free throw, he would have missed and you would have seen Grant hill takeover and hot the game winner.
